NBA 2010-2011 Season

Sweet sweet victory. I didn't watch the game. I haven't watched basketball for years. Ever since Lebron entered the NBA. The last time I really watched was when Dallas and Sacramento were playing for the western conference finals. It was back in 03 or 04. I cheered for the Mavericks and they lost. I still miss Shawn Bradley's angry face when he thought he got fouled(i lol'd so hard). I don't hate the Heat. As I've stated before, I like Dwayne Wade. But Lebron James is egotistical and has no class. I'm glad Jason Kidd finally got a championship. I remember when he played for the Nets. I saw him playing this year and thought "Dang he's still playing?" But I'm mainly proud for Dirk Nowitski. That's what happens when you're a franchise player and don't go jumping from team to team. Good things come to those who wait. I doubt it will happen, but I hope Lebron can get his act together so he can be a great player and a man of his own like Kobe. I never used to like Kobe Bryant, but in recent years, he's become more and more selfless and a team player. But I'm happy for the entire Mavs organization. I think Mark Cuban's one of the best owners ever because he's always on the court. It's like he's a coach.

Now we have to hope there isn't an NBA lockout!! Craziness!
On the upside, if there is a lockout, LeBron has to think about this for an extra year.

I feel as if the team I was rooting for won the championship and I don't even root vividly for a team in the NBA. I mean, I have a sympathy for the Wizards and the Knicks but that doesn't even count.

Extremely happy for the Mavs organization; Carlisle, Dirk, JET and the rest. Even Mark Cuban who when it mattered most kept his mouth shut and backed this team to the championship.

I can't say I feel sorry for Heat fans 'cause it's a matter of time until they get their championship - really excited to see Lebron choke again on crunch time though.

It has been quite a fairytale story on professional sports this past year. Giants, Packers, Mavericks and it can be capped off this week with the Canucks bringing Lord Stanley's Cup back to the sport's homeland.

So what exactly did LeBron bring to south beach? Sure as hell wasn't talent.

JKidd should retire as a champion, it be a sweet moment to go out as a champion.

Congrats Cuban, Dirk and Mavs teams
JKidd should keep playing. The whole "go out as a champion" thing is stupid, IMO. If you can still play, play!

I agree. He didn't play like a guy necessarily on his way out, although JJ Barea could be ready to break out and take the reins.

Definitely, Kidd may be 38, but the man certainly doesn't play like it. Sure, he's not as fast as he was in his 20's, but the man can still set up his players better than most players half his age, and is lethal when left alone for the three.

You know, between Chalmers and Barea, I feel as if we saw the next pair of great young guards show up (I know Barea performed great earlier in the playoffs, but still). Barea may get more face time due to his size and ridiculous ability to attack the basket, but Chalmers' defense, ability to see team mates and make the pass, and three point shooting ability should not be overlooked.

Agreed. Barea was unstoppable getting to the rim, and Chalmers stepped up when Bibby couldn't.

Jeez, first the NFL Lockout now the NBA could have a lockout... even when the NFL Lockout is over and we have Free Agency and Training Camp, ESPN will still be using the word Lockout but just talking about the NBA Lockout.

So anyone want to do early predictions for next years finals? Mavs repeat?
Love the Mavs, but I don't see them repeating. It'd largely depend upon what happens with their free agents.

The only thing I can really say about Chalmers is that he should have known better than to run out onto the court and escalate that shoving match. I understand having your team mates' back, but you also have to be smart about it. Tempers fly in a high stakes match like that, so I can't really hold it against him, but he still has to be smarter about it. I really can't defend Stevenson about it either, but it happens. Haslem got the bum end of the deal though, I wouldn't call him turning around to be retaliation, but it is what it is. I'm just curious to see if the NBA really will hand out any suspensions.

It was great to see Dirk finally win a much deserved championship. Hopefully this will shut up some of those critics.

It sucks though, because now I have no sports to watch until the NFL lock-out ends.

A lot depends on what happens with Howard, CP3, and D-Will, if anything. I can see the Thunder making a run at it, and the Heat have as good a shot as any in the East.

Howard did say he wants to stay in Orlando, but they have to get him help, and he will not sign an extension. So we'll see what happens, I'm still not sure he'll stay a Magic, especially after saying he'll still enter free agency.

I think Howard will go the way of Shaq and end up in L.A.

No he hasn't. He still jacks up more shots than anyone in the league.

I like the Lakers too... they're definitely my Western Conference Team followed by the Thunder.

If the Lake Show acquires Howard, we'll be in excellent shape, new coach or not.

Howard with Durant and Westbrook would be scary to match up against.
Yeah, it'd be like trying to game plan for DWade, LeBron and Bosh.....oh wait

Just messin'

Which one of those guys would be passing the ball? They'd still need a pass-first PG.

I think CP3 should go to Orlando and then move Jameer or Arenas to SG. Hedo will be Hedo and still make the necessary shots. Paul could turn Magic around alot and make them a bigger threat in East.

Yup...funny thing is that I really don't follow the NBA anymore (not since Jordan retired), just in my head I made the Heat the Steelers, so I have no choice but to hate ;)
