22 posts in this topic

Troubled Bengals player Chris Henry is in trouble again.

The wide receiver is charged with assault and criminal damaging out of Hamilton County.

Local 12 broke the story Wednesday night.

According to the police report, Henry was involved in a fight on Ohio Avenue in Clifton Heights Monday.

Gregory Meyer, 18, claims Henry threw a bottle, shattering his car window and punched him in the face outside his apartment complex.

Chris Henry doesn't get into trouble, trouble gets into Chris Henry

Hmm...and when I saw this thread, I half-expected to read a duplicate thread about his serving alcohol to minors in his hotel room...

Sad that I was proven wrong, but can't say I'm not surprised. So...how long until he's banned from the league? Or maybe the league'll go the Pacman Jones/Odell Thurman (remember HIM?) route and keep him perpetually suspended as opposed to banned? <_<

i personally think that noone should feel suprised by anything as of right now.....alot of these trouble makers in the NFL right now are taking their thought of being a player in the "National Football League" means that they can do anything and nothing will happen to them......especially those whom have had multiple run-in's with the authorities....it is this type of thing, in which action must be taken and dealt with accordingly.

I don't think anyone will be picking him up any time soon as he faces:

1) Potential jailtime and

2) A lengthy suspension from the NFL - no doubt a lot longer than the 'last chance' eight game suspension he received last year.

If you could give out awards for idiocy, this guy's trophy cabinet would be full to bursting.

He's not even very good.

I can understand why teams would still be interested in Pacman, because he's an exceptional athlete with good (on-field) instincts but cannot stay out of trouble. Chris Henry is an averagely/sub-averagely talented Wide Receiver and cannot stay out of trouble.

but and and are the keywords there.

despite his legal troubles....some team will take a gamble on him and sign him to their team, hoping that he can bring stability to a certain position on the field and bring production to their team.....there's always a team out there willing to take that kind of gamble. thus i think (barring the Commissioner lets him play again) we will see him play again.

Well, he's a decent TD catcher--17 in 35 games. But I don't know how much of that is a product of having Houshmandzadeh and Johnson around.

Either way, I don't want him on the Ravens.

The Bengals are cracking down. They just cut somebody else for getting arrested. I'd love to see what happens if Carson Palmer or Chad Johnson get arrested.

Anways this time its RB Quincy Wilson, who is none other then a West Virginia alum.

Note to Ozzie: Lets not draft anybody out of West Virginia ok.

Ehh, this guy got arrested almost a year ago (last June), and it was kind of a fringe charge--he "failed to disperse" after a wedding party. Given the timing, I can't really buy his release as being a result of his arrest.

yeah but you see theres this guy named Steve Slaton out of West Virginia and he is an electrifying back who we could take in the later rounds and he could be the lightning to McGahee's thunder :D

well if you really think about it.....if teh Bengals are doing what they're doing right now later on, all Chad would have to do is get into a little Trouble and he'll have his wish of finding a new team. plain and simple and to the point. but i doubt that he'll want to come at his sitaution that way, instead of a mre persausive less evasive way of getting his point across.
