Fabian Washington Will Show Up Big Against The Dolphins

43 posts in this topic

I believe Fabe will show up big against the Dolphins because he's playing with a chip on his shoulder and he wants to prove that he will not be beaten like he was against the Bills. He definitely will have to show up big because other teams tuned in to that game and I wouldn't be surprised if the Dolphins will try to victimize him after the bye after watching video from that game.

Dear God,

Don't let him cover Marshall....please
I would picture them putting him on Marshall but if he screws up I believe they will be a little quicker to put J Will in there instead of waiting unti the fourth quarter but I can't see him getting roasted as much as he did against the bills because that will be on his mind for two(2) weeks maybe the entire season. Also, Fitzpatrick is a good QB the bills just can't get a win but he has had 250+ yardage each game this season almost and he's cool and accurate. The only reason his passer rating went down is because of REED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TIP FROM RAY. Two big names and two big plays.

How he does is determined by the pass rush, if it's non existant and Henne has a lot of time, Marshall is going to have a big day.

But this goes for any receiver-cornerback matchup, the more time the QB has, the more likely it is that the WR will manage to get open.

Fabian show up big LOL give me a break. He struggled and looked even worse without a pass rush.
Well up until yesterday the Fabe and Carr combination was doing just fine. I do agree that we have to do something against the pass rush because he was sitting back there for days I mean that's all he needed was a lawn chair and some shades he would have been really having a field day literally. I want' to know what is so different from last year to this year where we can't get pressure. If you ask me I haven't heard Suggs and JJ's name as much as last year. Everything is Ngata and redding on the defense, but I do like when they blitz Nakamura is take off speed is tremendous.

Washington wont be covering Marshall, Mattison would be ill advised to do that. He should be covering Davone Bess if he starts.

I don't think Fabian will start against the Dolphins.
Yeah you never know our coaches have been suspect with calls on and off the field. I believe that we learned one thing against the Bills. When the run is working don't abandon it. I'm not saying be one dimensional but MaGahee, McClain, and Rice was driving and then Cam Cameron passed more than he run. I believe we would have sustained the lead the entire game if we mixed the run with the pass better on offense.

To be fair, they benched Fabian after he gave up the 3rd TD.

I agree that Cam went away from the run too much. It was hilarious listening to the CBS analyst(forgot his name) almost trying to will Cam to call more running plays. He'd back off his comments when Joe would complete a pass down-field and then say the Ravens should run the ball more whenever there'd be an incomplete pass.

Davone Bess would torture Fabian..........so would anyone else, including half of our fan base on these forums

I think Fabian will come back big next game just like he did against the Broncos (after a sub par Steelers game). However, I'm worried that his whole career will just be an up and down thing, with him backing off receivers after a good game and then having to make up for it the next.

Benching a CB who was personally responsible for 3 TDs is anything but a suspect call. Fabian finally gained consistency before this game, but his ball skills have always been questionable. I will give him credit for being in position to defend the passes, but if the end result is the giving up receptions, it doesn't make much of a difference. Blaming the Offense for being unable to sustain the lead is completely mind boggling. Flacco and Co. were able to gather 3 unanswered TDs, as well as 1 FG. I'm not sure what else could you could have possibly expected from an Offense down 24-10 a few minutes before the half.

Our Defense was flawed, which was actually a positive going into the Bye. It was a perfect situation for our Offense to gain even more confidence by shouldering the load, and helping earn our 3rd come from behind victory in less than half the Season. Our Defense will shape up, I have no question in that. I just think we've been a little spoiled with being in the Top 3 in terms of Pass Defense, considering the shuffle we had following Foxworth's injury and Reed's absence. So our CBs will sometimes make mistakes. I'm just glad we have two weeks to sort things out. However, I still can't place my confidence in Fabian being the answer. His speed helps him in coverage, but he just doesn't adjust to the throw. If he can learn to play the ball better when it's up in the air, he would be much more of a solid option.

Washington needs to redeem himself by covering #3 WR before we're confident to move him up the depth chart. Web will cover Marshall and Wilson will cover Bess for now.

I think Bess will cause us the most issues. I would rather have Webb on Bess with Washington on Marshall because Bess is pyshical after the call. Carr is also a good option to cover one of those two as well.

Redding? Not really. It seems to me like Ngata is the only one on the d line making an impact. But he gets double teamed sometimes and when he's taken away, neither Redding nor Gregg have been able to step up and guide the pass rush.

Ed Reed is gonna have his hands full, but I can see Carr vs. Bess being a really good matchup.

How will Ed have his hands full? The Ravens very rarely have him in man coverage and he's almost always in play center-field.

Judging by the last couple of times Ed Reed's played the Dolphins, I think they are the ones with their hands full..

Expecting a good game.

We could have picked up a corner in the draft instead of two tight ends but we didnt.

Now we are paying the price.
Disagree. If anything we took a Linebacker who sleep walks over a Corner back lol

I think Pitta and Dickson were great adds for our receiving corps. When Heap is gone, they will instantly have an impact.

But seriously though, Kindle could have been a beast for us. He still can be next year! Ozzie doesn't call guys up on draft day and ask them if they fall down stairs frequently.

Agreed Washington should not start, and Carr this year has not given up too many big plays. Very underrated.

It doesn't matter who we put on Marshall/Bess. If the pass rush isn't there, the secondary is going to get shredded again. Also, our run defense has been suspect.

We should just bring a Mix of Landry and Ruki on blitzes all game since Landry can't cover a baby with a blanket. I wanna see Webb cover Marshall and Carr on Bess.

Well of course he won't be in man coverage since he's a safety. But look at the Dolphins weapons. Marshall, Bess, Hartline and Fasano. They aren't exactly deep threats or deep route runners, but they can break for big runs in the open field. (Especially Marsh and Bess).

You mean when they didn't have Marshall and Bess wasn't yet a key contributor in their offense?

So a QB can have a bad game and still get the vote of confidence for next game, but a corner has one bad game and he is immediately a liability? People telling lots of jokes recently, except they're not funny.

Didn't Cromartie get burned by Boldin and co in our game, yet shut down Randy Moss in their game against the Patriots. It's called matchups, you win some you lose some.
