Idk where people see the talent in Williams...and I saw him drop a pretty easy long pass in the Colts game that could have gave us some momentum on offense. So much for Spider-man...

The guy has flashed his talented every year he's been with the team only to get hurt or go into sloth-mode. The Chicago and Indy games are perfect examples from last season.

Haha I can't believe how popular this thread is getting. I was bored and decided to check the earlier posts on the forum. I came across this, and have officially lost any and all respect for those of you on this board who have been here for such a long time. I can't believe what I read about Demetrius.

I'm just kidding of course. You know I love all of you.

D-Will is one of those receivers who will give you great plays, maybe even great games every now and then. Other times, he either disappears or ends up getting injured and missing time. It's a shame, because I love his height (Baltimore always needed a tall receiver, and he was it) and when he's healthy and producing, he's a stellar asset to the team. He's just wildly inconsistent and injury prone. I, for one, would love to see D-Will work on his game and strive to stay healthy, at very least he'd be a good back-up and provide depth.

This is one of those things that bothers me about our recievers over the years. With the exception of a few, most have been inconsistant or injured. Every year that we keep them around with hopes of them breaking out is another year that one of our younger players are missing out on oportunity to shine. D-Will and Clayton are the two I have always liked and wished they would do well. Unfortunately I think it is time to break ties and let the new kids play.

That could be the case this year, since it seems Williams and Clayton could both be cut. I've really been looking to see what Eron Riley can do. Even if just in a few preseason games. I liked Williams' height, and Riley's an inch taller, and if I could be so bold, maybe even more talented than Williams is. Regardless though, we have all of these young, tall receivers (Riley: 6'3, Smith: 6'1, Harper: 6'3) sitting there, barely getting any thought (in my eyes). Well, aside from Smith who had a few big drops in the preseason before going on IR. Part of me wants to see what these guys can do, either in preseason or just hearing some sort of new information on them.

Exactly, not to mention we would be saving quite a bit of money from their salaries. The younger players have so much more to prove I think the effort in their perfomance would be a lift to the recieving and special teams.

In my opinion, Harper can contribute right now. He has the size, body control, is physical enough and has pretty good speed. However, as we all saw, the coaches likely lost in confidence in him after some costly drops.

Hopefully, he can hold onto the ball this year.
