Identity Crisis

I love the Ravens and I think they are in the top 5 for best teams in the league, but it seems they just can't decide who they are, when the D finaly showes up the Offence doesn't when the Offence showes up the D doesn't. What do you think?

We're a 5-2 team.

Sometimes we will with offense, sometimes we win with defense. As long as we win, I'm a happy guy.

I don't think we have an 'identity' beyond a smashmouth defense..even though we're not exactly living up to that fully this year, I believe they've earned it. We are incredibly adaptable with both the run and the pass. It just depends on what the defense gives us. Hopefully Cam will be a little more flexible in the future to that effect.

First off, having an "identity" is overrated. I simply want an offense that finds ways to score, a D that makes play when it has to and a special teams that doesn't hurt the team.

As for this team, to me, they're a work in progress. The talent is obviously there but a lack of personnel recognition and execution need to be addressed.

Agreed, labeling yourself as something imposes inherent limitations, too. Calling yourself a "running team" implies that you cannot pass. I want the Ravens to be able to do both, at will. A "Balanced" team is what I want.. A balanced team that wins.
