Tsizzle, Me Thinks Not

Suggs is a average player, who makes has little or no impact on the game. This guy doesn't show up, made zero plays today. He will get a sack, but this season I can't recall it coming in key spots. Today was a prime example of him not doing anything, he's the rush linebacker but doesn't produce.

Obviously you didnt actually watch the battle in the trenches this game, Suggs beat his blocker at almost a 60% rate this game, Fitzpatrick just had open receivers all game long. Suggs was half a second away from 4 sacks that I counted.

The entire D puts up a stinker and we want to single out the one guy who brought the closes thing to pressure the Ravens got on Fitzpatrick.

I love this fan-base...

Terrell Suggs was actually one of the more consistent defenders, today. He was in the backfield, constantly, harassing Fitzpatrick more consistently than anyone else and getting penetration on running plays.

You didn't see him whiffing on tackles like a Washington, Webb, McClain, or Ellerbe.

He may be overrated, but he's still a really good all-around player. He makes plays sometimes, our pass rush was bad in general today.

I thought they paid him for sacks, ok he's a great "disrupter" then, and yes I do pay attention to the trenches this is what I base my "opinion" on.

<_< Pass-rushing is only a small portion of his game, these days. The Ravens ask a lot more from him than that.

Suggs needs a compliment OLB opposite of him. I like Jarret Johnson, but he's an average player who's playing hurt this year. Look at all the great pass rushers in the league and they have a compliment guy next to him and how well they succeed. Kindle was supposed to be that guy, but its not turning out. This whole pass rush has been less than stellar.

I just wish Suggs would stop talking so much smack unless he can back it up. It's annoying.

You can't blame our lack of pressure solely on Suggs. He's sacked Tom Brady in the last three Patriots game, and caused a fumble that led to a TD in both games last season. Ngata didn't have any sacks today, sometimes it just doesn't happen.

You pay a player for his overall performance, not one aspect of his game.

Say what you want about the guy but considering he was one of only THREE people rushing the QB for most of 4th quarter and OT and still got pressure at times, I'd say he played OK today.

They pay him to sack the qb, and if a qb is doing what the bills qb did today then come on. Its an opinion they pay him for sacks.

Our whole defense needs to step up. Not only Sizzle. At least he lost some weight this off-season. Hope he's alright! Get Well!

Watch the game. He is the ONLY person who gets into the backfield. Nobody outside of Ngata and Suggs does anything to pressure the QB.

I don't understand how Suggs get so much crap about his pass rushing when JJ has been completely invisible in pass rush this year

He is the Rush linebacker, he said it himself he lurks on the blindside, say what you will but the guy is an average player.

You can't solely judge a pass rusher's performance on sack numbers; sacks are inflated this season for some guys because of the quality of opponents they've faced, or big single-game performances that make their season-long performance seem better than it appears.

JJ has been surprisingly disappointing this year; he was pancaked on a play today for the first time I've personally ever seen, and it was such a shock, I had to make sure it was the right jersey number.

Suggs talks alot about he is a beast, about how this year is gone be monster for him. I'm giving him "crap" because if you talk that much you gotta back it up. He is a good
player, but not a star that's all.

Suggs is our ONLY threat in the pass rush so teams focus on him. We need a better pass rush. Once again on the BILLS line, they still had too much time to throw the ball. Ed Reed was the only bright spot on defense today. 2 picks and a forced fumble in his first game back. Not to mention Ray's game winning strip.

You what they say about folks who assume? I'm talking about Suggs, and it's my opinion. I said he is a descent player just not a star. You can be critical without being called fair weathered or it be called overreacting, I care about this team and am very passionate about it.

Yeah. JJ should be thankful that Kindle is hurt because with the way JJ is playing, by the end of the season Kindle would be starting.

IDK what game this guy was watching. I saw Suggs getting great pressure when we were only blitzing 3.

Agreed. Some people pick and choose what they want to see.

They pay him to put pressure on the QB, if Suggs is hitting the QB, but hes getting the ball off what can Suggs really do? Yell at him to hold onto the ball a split second longer?
