Players in the video include:

Ray Lewis
Tom Brady
Ben Roethlisberger
Drew Brees
Bradie James

They are basically for the most part saying that these hits are part of the game and if you take them out then they should basically be playing two hand touch. I believe Ryan Clark put it best that if you are going to take away the upper body for hits then you need to lower the target for hits on legs. He then goes on to say that would lead to more blown ACL's, bruised legs, and hip replacements.

On the radio today they were saying that this measure only went through to protect players for when the 18 game season arrives.

My though process is that its fine to suspend for helmet to helmet but to suspend for violent hits? That is crazy.

Mark Schlereth

I really like his idea for the players to come out this Sunday and everyone two hand touching. It wouldn't just be a slap in the face to the NFL but a knock out punch.

I partially agree with that. Violent hits are a part of the game when players are going full speed. BUT, in addition to the helmet-to-helmet hits, launching, forearm to the head, etc. need to be eliminated.

i agree with whats been said here... someone on ESPN was saying that they know what they are getting themselves into by playing football. it's their choice to play and if they are injured on the job, it's unfortunate but they signed their lives away to make tons of money.
