home court bias in the NBA? no way!!!

what sucks is that the series is extended. though im still confident the Cavs will close this out, and then lose to Boston in the next round.

and Mike Brown continues to show his predictability on offense. LeBron at the top of the key, drive it in, see I got a phone call from my buddies at Planet X, says they could see that play coming millions of light years away!!

True. The Cavs offense = 4 role players and 1 play maker. (Hint: the play maker's last name rhymes with perbiak)

I will give the Cavs credit tho. They can really buckle down and play some defense. Theyre def. one of the top 3 defenses in the NBA.

i hope your kidding about Wally being a playmaker! he's been a spot up shooter his whole career. he's been doing alot of spotting up but not alot of shooting. wait, scratch that he's been doing some shooting but it hasn't been going down the hole!!

Sixers are gone but not forgotten. they've got a bunch of young pups on that team and I like where they are headed, they are probably a player or two from being serious contenders. I really like Thaddeus Young; 6'8 220 lanky frame, he's a lefty and the kid can jump out of the gym and he chases the ball like someone stole his cookies because he always seems to be around it.

Have we talked about Ginobili's flopping in this thread yet? I think he's one of the most dominant floppers to ever play the game.

Evidence:

Hilarious stuff, unless of course it happens to your team.

Yeah its been mentioned. Gino is a pretty bad flopper.

However, while Gino is bad, there are some other players who are just as bad.

Edit:

2nd Edit: Actually, there are TONS of Lebron travel highlights on youtube. The most painful is the "gamewinner" vs Wash two years ago.

Yeah, it's all over the place but I can't really blame floppers for doing it--it's currently within the rules, and it's pretty effective.

Maybe a Flopping Foul would help.

Did he travel on both ends of that?

I do believe he did.

And I don't believe their can be a rule made against flopping. I think its punishment enough that the player a.) looks like an idiot b.) give the opposing offense an open man for 5 sec. or so

Good point. Plus, it'd give a lot of power to the refs.

Which, as we've seen in the past years, would be the worst possible thing to do.

I think about all the talking Washington did this series, and now I am on the floor dying with laughter!!! they owe me a new chair, I think I broke it on my way down there! I was hoping for the Cavs to do a Deshawn hand wave in your face to finish it off, but I guess they are more respectful than me!

Holy Hawk droppings!!! boston/atlanta all tied up at 3. why didn't Cassell take the 3 at the end, he's got almost as much ice in his veins as I do!

another painful loss exit for Houston, but the game was lost in the 3rd quarter. they had so many good looks but the ball refused to go down the hole, its what I call the Happy Gilmore effect. hey Garnett was 0-7 in the first round at one time. t-mac has to keep trying he's got a nice young group to play with that might finally get the Donkey Kong off his back!!

I so want ATL to win that series, that way the magic won't have to face them, plus I love the underdog.

Well, the Wizards look absolutely ridiculous now, but I'm just glad they didn't back down from LeBron.

Maybe next year they'll take a cue from Caron.

I wonder if they will re-sign Gilby. he's as talented as any other PG problem is he has a hard time staying healthy, starting to become Grant Hill in that department.

no reason to believe that we can't or won't. we split the regular season games, and we've been better in the post season, the pistons have been worse.

I say Detroit wins in 6 or 7. doesn't matter whose had the better postseason (specially after only one round!), it all boils down to matchups and execution and they both matchup well but im going with the more experienced team.

thats the best I've seen Howard guarded in awhile, kid was totally flustered. They sent the house on him, Wallace, McDyess, Ratliff, Maxiell you can see it really bothered him. LeBron went through the same thing, getting so many looks on defense, Howard has to get comfortable and figure it out because he's going to get all kinds of looks.

and damn how about those Hornets?!?! they held Duncan to 5 points.....I think Shaq might have shell shocked him because everytime he had the ball it was like Duncan was looking out for him!! or maybe nawlins are that good at defense? naw can't be, not when mr. bowen was lighting it up with wide open, shortest possible range from the side of the rim three's (i think he matched his entire point production from last series!)!!

I think Cleveland can get past Boston now, thanks Atlanta for giving me hope! seriously though the Cavs matchup pretty well and they've been in hostile environments and know how to win in then. Cavs in 6!!

Oh, woe is me! The Ravens, Terps & Wizards were all let-downs this year! I'm not sure I'll be able to keep posting in this thread as my grief is so strong!
