I thought I would start a thread...

anyways the Cavs lost a heartbreaker after it looked like LeBron hit the game winning shot, the Hornets come right back and respond. Paul penetrated through the middle and three Cavs commited on him leaving West wide open for the game winner. I hate to lose in such heartbreaking fashion <_<

AHH, my 2nd favorite sport.

I'm Denver Nuggets Fan and my favourite player is J.R. Smith he's a bit inconsistent but he has a great shot and the he's best human dunker in NBA right now

(Dwight Howard isn't a human)

The playoff race in the west is very close and today Denver plays against Dallas and aginst the warriors on Saturday this may be the most important games of the season for them. So I'm pretty fired up.

good news for you Nuggets fans, Nene is going to return, that might be an inspirational boost for the Nuggets. Couldn't have come at a better time I think the Mavs might not even make the playoffs now that Dirk is gone.

I'm a magic fan. And you're right, Dwight's not human...he's superman.

and regarding the last game we played (a loss to the spurs), this quote from the AP annoyed me:

"The Magic got a taste Tuesday of how the big boys play."

given that opener, you'd think we got drubbed by thirty.

we lost by 10,which was a flattering scoreline to the Spurs. Dwight howard had another 20/20 , Rashard was a key scorer down the stretch, and keyon dooling at times looked unstoppable.

But when you lose your most dynamic scorer (Hedo Turkoglu) and your starting point guard (Jameer Nelson) in the first half, you're going to have a hard time against anybody, and we led for a good porportion of the game. Infact, we were downright dominating until Keith Bogans stepped up to the charity stripe for 3 and missed them all, then we fumbled on a fast break, and missed an uncontested dunk. It all went south from there. Tony Parker suddenly found his jump shot and TD suddenly became a mix between Dwight Howard, and Dikembe Mutumbo. He was a Beast on both ends. He blocked Dwight on two consecutive possesions, something I've never seen happen before.

i hope the mavs don't make the playoffs i hate them.

The most important thing is that he beat the cancer, but it'll sure take some time until he's ready to play again.

With that kind of an inspiration the nuggets might even play some Defence.

I think the Magic have good chances of going to the Finals i don't know how long Turkoglu and Nelson will miss, but for me they're one of the big boys in the NBA

I'm getting pretty hyped for the playoffs this season. It'd be sweet if my Wizards could get revenge on the Cavs.

That all depends on Agent 0's health. Then again the Cavs haven't really improved since the trade so who knows...

nice win by Denver, after allowing 70 points the first half they put the clamps on D and hold the Mavs to 35. Damn did I just say they put the clamps on D? yep sure did!

I'm more worried about his successful reintegration into the offense than him actually coming back. Not a knock on Gilbert, but it's a challenge to chemistry when you bring a superstar back in, no matter who he is. I'd like to see him get some playing time in before the postseason, if possible, just so him and the rest of the guys are used to each other again. I don't think it would take much.

So when he is expected to come back? They could be a real sleeper team and take the East by surprise....

I have no idea--the last I heard, the training staff has told him to just focus on getting healthy for the playoffs. It's been week-to-week for the past month, so I've become pretty skeptical of each estimate.

And I think you're right about the sleeper team thing--they've shown they can play with any team in the East, even without Gilbert, and he would just add another dangerous element.

disappointing night for the Cavs. For a game that should've had a playoff-like atmosphere, their certainly was no indications of it as the Cavs effort was horrendous. Not the type of effort you expect out of your MVP, much less the whole team. Mike Brown reminds me of Stevie from Malcolm in the middle, really slow to get his message across and by the time he does its too late.

If it's any consolation, the Pistons are pretty freaking good.

I would've taken the loss easier if the Cavs gave more of an effort. It looked like they didn't even want to be there and thats not how you want to present yourselves against an upper echelon team like the Pistons. If they ever give that type of effort again, im going to go down to Cleveland myself and take some names :P

Did any of you catch the Lakers/ Wizards last night? I usually dont start watching NBA games until the playoffs but I caught that one. I am glad I did. It was like a 3 point shoot out.

yup, it was a great game like most of the Western Conference games have been this year. If you haven't been watching games you've been missing out B)

Yeah, great comeback by the Wizards, wish they could have pulled it out but they still showed some grit.

Golden State Warriors will wind up with the 7th seed, at worst 8th in the west. Dallas will be the odd team out. And they'll just confirm that by beating Dallas again on Wednesday night.

...And then they get absolutely demolished by the Jazz on the very next night. Funny league. But I guess it's good they're letting Caron get some rest before the playoffs.

Tonight the Nuggets and Suns are set to play in what is anticipated to be another high scoring game. So in advanced I would like to give a moment of silence for the basketball nets that used to be

I dont know. I am thinking its going to be Denver thats the odd man out. I know Dirk went down but I think Kidd could get the Mavs in.

I've heard Dirk's coming back sooner than expected, too.

that it was.

I was reading the CBS recap, and it said that the nuggets defense buckled down in this game.

Is letting in 120 points 'buckling down'?
