Going To The Game Sunday(Bills)...questions...

21 posts in this topic

OK. I'm going to the game against the Bills Sunday. I've been to plenty of games before, but never really thought about these because I wasn't driving.

Where's the best place to park, how much?

Any good places to tailgate?

Any other info I should know?

Thanks

Sheraton Hotel on S. Charles street is a great place to park, 20$, and about a 10 min walk to the stadium (if you dont have parking passes close to the stadium). as far as tailgaiting, lot H is a great place to tailgate, tickets are about 160$ a game.

Question, I'm not sure where you live but is there a Light Rail close by? The reason I ask is because you can take the Light Rail down to the stadium and only pay like $3.25 or whatever it is to ride that to the game on Sunday. That has always been my way of getting to Orioles and Ravens games and I'll be flying up from NC on Saturday and going to the game on Sunday and me and my friend will be taking the light rail and I suggest that to anyone going to any Ravens game.. much easier. So if you can take the light rail and save money.

I agree with OC. That Sheraton parking lot off of W Conway St is my go to parking lot. Especially since I'm coming from the south. If you get there early enough you can get right out and onto 695 or 95 with no issue. It's like a 10 minute walk through Camden Yards an Ravenswalk.

Hey man, This question has nothing to do with parking but how much would a ticket to a game cost? Would getting a ticket to the super-bowl be difficult? (I know they probably seem like stupid questions but im from Ireland and wouldn't know much about this). Enjoy the game anyway man i'll be listening in over here on they day hopefully the score will come out in our favor..

Superbowl tickets are in the 800 dollar and up range, and nearly impossible to get. Game ticket can be had on the Ticket Exchange unless the team implodes the Bills game would be the easiest ticket to get.

It really doesnt get any better than taking the light rail. Granted it makes tailgating a bit more of a challenge.

Thanks guys.

I live in Dundalk(the ****-stain of Baltimore although I'm in the good part) and I don't think there's a light rail near me. This might be the last game I see before I move(trying to head to West Palm Beach) so I wanna make it a good one.

If your in Dundalk... that means your close to the Glen Burnie Ferndale Area and I know that there is a Light Rail stop in Ferndale. You may want to look into that if you want to take the Light Rail.

All the "good places to park" are already taken up by season ticket holders.

If you were to get to the stadium area early (try 8 to 9 am), you may find a cash lot withing 1/3rd mile of the stadium which has half decent tailgating facilities. Just be careful when checking them out, since some will pack cars in way too tight. My favorite (which may still be selling a few cash non-reserved spaces) is Lot J, which has a combination of reasonably close proximity and good tailgating areas) e.g. grass or pebble borders. There are other cash lots along Warner, Stockholm, Sharp, and Ostend Streets. All these lots sell single game passes fin the range of $40 - $50.

If you wanted to save a few $$ by foregoing tailgating, park in a garage. The closest is at the Convention Center Hilton, across the street from the left field stands of Orioles Park. There are many other garages along the Pratt & Lombard Streets corridor. Garages go for $20 - $35. If you walk down Ravens Walk (Eutaw Promenade). you can but relatively inexpensive grilled sandwiches and beer. Not quite the same as tailgating, but a decent alternative that requires no clean-up.

That's exactly what I was looking to do. Thanks a lot.

Depends on what you want to do. I usually get there around 10am. Gives me a few hours to walk around, talk to people, get in the stadium right as the gates open, and be able to watch all the pre-game warm-ups and introductions. If you just want to get there and go in I'd say get to the stadium around 11:30-12.

I would take off about 9 am to see the Unitas statue in front of Gate A, rub his shoes, and the watch the band practice in Lot C. Then head up to Ravens Walk (Eutaw Promenade - between the two stadiums) for live entertainment and a few reasonably priced liquid refreshments and a grilled sandwich. Head back over to the stadium about 11:20 to get in when it opens at 11:30. Go to a customer service booth (Red Cross) to receive a free soda coupon, get in your seat, and watch practice for a half hour. Then the pre-game festivities begin -- well worth getting there early to watch.

Remember to stay in your seat at halftime: SB XXXV 10th anniversary reunion.
