theres an image that will be hard to shift!

OT

giving flacco the option to audible is good but i've got to say i think calling the plays in the huddle is better. audibles can lead to mis-communication, we just need Cam to find a decent balance take what the defense is giving us. if they stop the pass we run and if they stop the run we pass.

with the options we've got we just need to play the matchups.

Human nature. Reminds me of the Salem Witch Trails, or McCarthy's Communist Callouts. You're Guilty, Now!

If we tie Cam up to the stake and burn him, if he burns he's a true Offensive Coordinator! If he doesn't he's not and we should fire him.

Seriously who came up with these ideas in the 1600's?

Is it just me, or does that article offer nothing up but conjecture? Exactly as the article says, Flacco hasn't said anything untowards about the playcalling, and saying he 'looks' frustrated is like saying he 'looks' like a robot out there on the field. I was hoping he'd come out and said, 'Yea, the playcalling could be better,' or, 'Yea, we could have been more aggressive,'. But he didn't say or do anything. I'm not buying it. I'm sure he's unhappy, but probably more unhappy with the loss then just with the playcalling..I mean if there's any guy in the position to help with the playcalling besides the coaches, you'd think it'd be the quarterback.

Flacco should be involved with the playcalling...

Flacco should be involved in much more than just the playcalling. He should be vital in gameplanning as well. Flacco's input at this stage in his career should be very valuable. He needs to tell Cam what he thinks of the opponent and what he thinks he can do after watching game film. I'm sure this is occurring to an extent, but I feel like Cam is building the game plan and calling all the shots. With approval from Harbs. And Joe is kinda of like "What he said."

Yep. Great Quarterbacks study tape and call their own shots when they see a coverage they like or don't like.

Do people really think Peyton, Brett, Tom, Drew, Aaron, Tony and Phillip listen to everything their Offensive coordinators tell them? Heck no. Hence why they are considered the elite and they have the playbook sitting on their wrist.

Okay, first for those saying Joe should have kept this private he did not SAY anything. They are basing this off of how he "looked" and the fact that he did not defend the play calling.

Second, what do we want Joe to do? Make his own wrist thingy with the plays on them and stick out his tongue to Cam?

I could be wrong but I do believe that it is the HC position that should see that this happens.

I agree, it is on the coaches to make and call the correct plays and it is on Joe to execute those plays.

Flacco should be involved in creating the plays, but it is mostly the coaches that make and call them. Sometimes they will call in a couple of plays and let the qb pick one, and of course the qb should audible the play according to the defensive set up.
