We're Going Nowhere Fast If...

Cam's playcalling and adjustments are inept. It's, more or less, as simple as that.

Normally I have a go at a player/coach, sleep on it, then next morning realise I was too harsh. This isn't the case with Cam. Week after week I've been annoyed by his ineptitude, which continues to get worse.

I'm fed up of seeing this team's prime being ruined by such a horribly inept offensive coordinator. It's gotten to the point where I'm surprised when he actually calls an effective/good play for the situation.

It's not on Flacco, it's all on Cam. He's not letting Flacco grow and try audibles. Flacco's been handcuffed by Cam and the sooner he has his playcalling responsibilitys revoked or is fired the sooner this offense will live up to it's potential.

Rant Over.

Joe can't learn to read cover 2 bump and run coverage. Apparently thats the adjustment the Patriots made in the second half. Pats defenders were talking about it after the game. It wasn't us being conservative, it was the Bengals game all over again.

They dropped 8 into coverage a lot and instead of Joe taking the extra time he had to wait for a receiver to get open he impatiently dumped it off to Rice. Brady on the other hand moved around and bought time, like he should, on their late TD to Branch.

Too bad we don't play the Jets more often. Rex Ryan is too stubborn to do anything but blitz.

This seems to be his only problem. Hopefully Jim and Cam help him fix this, because other teams are going to start doing these coverages a lot.

You're right. The majority of the problem is Cam's limit on the offense.

We're going nowhere fast if....

Cam doesn't unleash Flacco and this offense. Now.

or...

Harbs doesn't unleash on Cam and unlock those cuffs himself. Now.

audibles are overrated. what the heck. i couldn´t believe hering him say something like that. audibles are what made manning the best qb of the game. sometimes i don´t get it what all the experts see in cam being the perfect fit for the ravens.
you sit in front of the tv and tell everybody whos wants to hear it what play will come. and it comes just like that!!!! horrible. it was all like: oh let´s just wait until ray breaks one again.

the numbers near the end of the game were 50/50 run vs pass. both didn´t work in the last quarter and OT. why don´t you change it? i don´t get it...

I understand, but it already happened.
Why still worry about it?
Basically, the coaches will do their best to not allow that to happen again.
I know that's not what you want to hear, but basically you'll just have to wait and see what happens.

of course it happened. i know you are right about the coaches trying to do everything that it never happens again. but the fact is that it happened. and that makes us angry (or me). in a season like that where you might have a chance for a deep playoff run there is no room for mistakes like that. you just cannot give away games that you almost have won. don´t get me wrong i am good with the situation right now but we cannot argue after every loss that the coaches will try to make it better next time. we should be the problem for our opponents not the other way round!!!
i don´t want to be the guy who whines around after every game i just have the feeling that this year could be special...

I know. I respect you wanting to see us do our best, but in reality, you have no control over the situation.
And you are right, it did happen, and it wasn't the result we wanted.
Really, I've never met a day where everything I wanted to happen went right.
And you are already talking about making the playoffs and this being a special year, well it is a special year already. Honestly, it's not even half way through the season, and we've yet to see a bye week, so I wouldn't worry about the playoffs or anything just yet.
There is no single team that is walking away with anything as far as winning their division or a super bowl just yet.
It's an uncapped year, a strange one at that.
Had we won the Pats game I could say that we are that team, but we didn't and it's not worth thinking about it that way.
It's too early to be too concerned.
I know you're really into all of what's going on, but we all are.

Yeah, our QB who posted a 120 QB Rating and had 2 more touchdown passes dropped (would have given him a total of 4) with an 80% completion % against probably the most complicated defense in the NFL is the issue here. :sarcasticclap:
