First thing to come to mind: How do we get Nnamdi?
Al Davis has been pining for a calzone, I hear..

Anyways, Seinfeld reference aside, this doesn't surprise me. The Raiders are a poorly run organization. Overpaying to keep talent in black and silver, over-valuing when trading for players, under-valuing when trading away player, consistently poor drafts (McClain seems promising, though). But, yeah, it's the Raiders!

Sounds like something you would say to the other owners in a FANTASY League! Especially after a disappointing loss.

we cannot afford him.....

I know, but you can't blame me for being a dreamer, right?

Nnamdi is out of the question because of the $$$, but what would it take to get Seymour. When we have been getting gashed on the ground it has most of the time been against the nickel with 4 down lineman. What better player for the Ravens to bring in than Richard Seymour? He can play the 5 technique in our 3-4 and then have him in as the LE instead of Johnson for the nickel packages. I would LOVE to see that happen, but I know it won't :(

3-4 - Suggs-Seymour-Gregg-Ngata-Johnson
Nickel - Suggs-Ngata-Gregg-Seymour w/ Ray and McClain as LB.

Actually a pretty good suggestion, Seymour is the prototype 3-4 DE and I'd kick him inside on the sub packages to push the pocket and give some help to Suggs.

If he can get a push up the middle, I'd love to see Seymour in purple.

Someone to fill for or at least split time with J.J. would be good too. Maybe Thomas Howard?

Seymour is on the decline, and THomas Howard isn't a pass rusher. McClain is the only player worth taking.
Seymour is on the decline yes, but hes light years better than what we have on the line except Ngata. He knows how to play the position, experience in 3-4s, can rush the passer and gives us a pocket push, something we dont get unless Ngata breaks totally free. Im not talking about giving up a significant pick either btw.

I know Howard isn't a pass rusher, I've always liked his game though.

Just because Seymour is on the decline doesn't mean he isn't a good player. Ray is on the decline, but he is still a great player. Seymour is still a quality player.

wow, the question is will Al actually follow through on this?

jacoby ford could perhaps provide a spark on special teams.

indeed McClain is the only player I would think we should pick up if we had the chance. Groom him under Ray and hope that he can become Ray 2.0

This is a very good suggestion. This would allow Kruger more time to develop and Seymour could provide some good pressure opening up more holes for Ray and Ellerbe to go through. I like this very much. I like this so much I kinda wish we traded for him just so he could tell us about the Patriots defense lol.

Here are some Raiders Players I like to see in Purple:

- Richard Seymour: See Above

- Rolando McClain: SAVE HIM! Great Linebacker and who knows he may pan out well in Oakland and restore the Oakland defense but if we could get him we would be set at MLB for life... and that includes life without Ray.

- Louis Murphy: Great Young Receiver that could be good # 2 for when Mason retires. I liked Murphy when he came out and wished we could have got him and if we could get him NOW we eliminate any receiving problems because of Boldin, Mason and having Murphy who would be a young receiver who would grow with Joe. Plus I always trade for Murphy when Mason retires in Madden and I love having Murphy as a Raven.

Well let's see this came from Schefter and we know how the Raiders are when it comes to reports from Schefter... deny deny deny... and usually Schefter ends up right so I'm sure anybody is available for trade on the Oakland Roster.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure McClain is not on the block.

If only Namdi didn't have that lucrative contract....

I just don't see them moving their top 10 pick from the most recent draft.

Even if he was, the Raiders did stipulate for the right price. The right price for McClain is probably 2 first round picks.

Bruce Campbell for a late round pick.

The guy is physically gifted and with the right coaching, we got our guard/tackle for the future.

My take is a 2nd or 3rd is too much for a player who has maybe 2-3 seasons left.

Exactly and that's really all we need him for until Kruger is more ready to play. So if we could get him for a 5th or 4th that would be great but at the same time than it would look bad on the Raiders part since they gave NE their 1st round pick for him.

When I first read the title of this thread, I thought, "What is this, some sort of joke?", but as I read the story link, I find myself in a state of disbelief.

I now have to believe that Al Davis has truly lost it. I mean big time lost it.

lol at Al Davis... does he want the Raiders to never be any good?? At least JoePa tries to make Penn State a great team, and he does that almost every year. Heck, even Bobby Bowden had a pretty decent FSU team, and he gave it up when he saw that he couldn't do it anymore.

BUT if Davis wants to trade with the Ravens, then I'd be open for him remaining their owner... just don't pull any more crap with the Patsies.

Bobby didn't give it up at all... HE WAS PUSHED OUT! I like a few peices that the Raiders have and they could fit in well here... ON A WINNING TEAM!

A few lesser knowns I'd like if they were healthy... Schillens and Murphy.

I have to agree with you. I thought the guy was a lot younger. I think anything more than a 4th would be overpaying.

Those receivers? They were all over us last year! A pair of young, talented players right there
