Le'ron Angry With Baltimore Fans

83 posts in this topic

I'm not sure if this has already been discussed. I couldn't find anything on the forum, but today after the game, Le'Ron McClain tweeted: "maboi are they serious in Bmore?? Bra like really!! I cost the game??? F-That and them" in response to the Baltimore fanbase decrying his 15 yard penalty-drawing shove in overtime.

The shove at that critical moment was a stupid move by Le'Ron. Granted, it was just one of many factors that led to the eventual loss, but his tweet was definitely a PR mistake. I guess we'll have to wait for the apology.

I'm guessing an apology will come. It's understandable that he's upset but this season is bigger than him and he should have kept it to himself.

Things get said in the heat of the moment, it's understandable.

Yep. I think we'll see a retraction, apology and statement on that some time later today and it'll be forgotten about

The team lost as a team but LeRon needs to understand the offense was having trouble moving the ball so his penalty at a CRITICAL moment in the game was down right stupid.

He didn't cost us the game but he certainly put his team in a tough spot, which we couldn't overcome.

If you don't want to read what he says... then don't follow him on Twitter. Besides... how do you know "**** that and them" doesn't mean" "FORGET that and them?"

@Le'Ron
Stop whining. You made a dumb choice. You thought it was more important to retaliate than to win this game. You're selfish. You're not smart. That's a fact. All that whining is not gonna change that so just keep that to yourself and stop blaming everybody else.

Yeah he did not cost us the game but you have to know better than that. That was the time of the game where he should have been talking a defensive player into something like that.

It was a foolish mistake but that hardly lost the game. Questionable play calling and the Patriots playing better lost us the game.

First of all there'd be no reason to censor "forget". I'm not sure if you're serious or not. Secondly "forget" doesn't have 4 letters.

Anyway in a tight game against NE they will make you pay for every mistake. And that's what happened yesterday with that McClain flag. Did he cost us the game in the sense that he gave up a touchdown or threw a ball in overtime that was picked off and returned for a TD and ended the game? No, but it was still huge because we were fighting for every inch and here comes clumsy McClain and just put our entire team in a terrible spot because he felt like getting flagged. If you do that against the Pats in overtime or any SB contender they will make you pay.

If I were to tell you the Ravens would lose a game by being +2 in the turn-over battle, Joe had a +100 passer rating and we held the ball almost 10 minutes longer then the Pats.... It's just an example of how games can get away from teams , especially on the road against a great team.

He definitely didn't cost us the game. The penalty call was ok, but he was clearly provoked.
I don't think Cam would have put together a decent enough drive for us to score on.

Did McClain use poor judgment during the personal foul, yes he did. Just like I think he used poor judgment making that Twitter post. McClain should know a true fan or anyone who knows anything about football knows that one personal foul penalty doesn't cause a team to lose the game.

Now if Cam Cameron has a twitter account, I would hate to be him and read all the tweets he would have rcv'd yesterday.

With a stellar defense, every time we have 10pt lead we should win that game. Especially, we have all the weapons on the offense which can eventually exceed our lead more than 10pts, and we refused to do it. Subsequently, we decided to play conservatively against one of the best offense in the league. Wow, are we showing mercy to the Pats? thanks to Cam...

About Le'ron's personal foul in OT, it's costly but that didn't cost us the game if we (Cam) smartly put all our weapons on the field when we have less than 1min in the 4th to score a winning field goal, then we wouldn't have gone OT.

McClain's penalty certainly didn't cost us the game, but it didn't help in the cause of winning the game. It was selfish. He let them abate him, and his ego got bruised.

I know he is probably feeling remorse about the play. But when he says fans calling him out, it bruises his ego more.

Use this as a learning tool McClain, and move on.

Looks like Dante Stallworth has talked to him or at least tweeted him. He said "Things that are done, it is needless to speak about...things that are past, it is needless to blame." ~Confucius

This is why athletes should not have twitter/facebook/access to the internet to rant....

Two things come to mind after reading that....first, maybe Le'ron should spend less time on twitter and more time in the film room. Second, he should know he didnt cost us the game, he didnt play D, and he should prolly learn to handle criticism a little better...

That makes no sense. Athletes have been ranting since the press was allowed in the locker rooms after the games.

I'd be pissed if fans were trying to pin a loss on me, too, when, in reality, it wasn't at all Le'ron's fault.

Now, all the Tweets that Cam gets telling him he cost us the game they're all well deserved.

Of course it's playcalling & execution. Has any team in NFL history or even sports period lost even though they had a great game plan & executed perfectly? That stuff happens. You can't have a perfect game plan or execute perfectly. But getting flagged and costing your team 15 yards for no reason is not something you can do if you consider yourself a SB contender in a game like that.

In all honesty, had there not been a guy on the ground right behind him at knee level... Cunningham wouldnt have fallen and it wouldn't have been a flag. It just so happens McClain did the unintentional School Yard Flip.

I think the Cary Willimas block in the back was a huge penalty too.

It's a sign of selfishness as a player, to give in to your frustration and cost your team. The twitter remark shows his lack of maturity.
