Week 7 - Buffalo Bills

114 posts in this topic

If we can't put together a complete game against the Bills, oh boy. Of course this is nothing like what will happen, the crowd is going to be insane with the return of Ed. In the prior 3 games the Bills have played they have allowed at least 200 yards rushing against per game, so we should get a heavy dose of Willis and Rice. What I would love to see more than anything is to see the defense have one of those breakout games. We should feast on the Bills extremely weak offensive line and sub-par quarterback.

I was going to the game but could not afford it so im just visiting baltimore instead. My cuzins are near there too anyway.
But should be a good game. the bills could surprise us because of the bye they had plenty of time to watch us. so i wouldn't say this is not an immediate W

Honestly, tickets at the stadium are not expensive. Talking the scalpers down is what my wife and I do every week. We got two 50 yard line tickets in club for 120 a piece for the Browns game. Don't believe the prices on stubhub, etc. Or you can check craigslist. If you're coming to Baltimore, go to the game!!! You'll regret it if you don't!!!

I remember going into the browns game very confidant and cocky. We nearly lost out butts that game.

Play every game like its pitts-burgh and you will be fine.

Honestly...

On Offense, Buffalo is 30th overall. They are 26th in points scored and 31st in passing.
On Defense, Buffalo is 28th overall. They are 32nd in points allowed and 32nd in rushing D.

The Ravens are playing at home and have the rage of losing a heartbreaker to the Pats.

Yes, I'll say it. It will be a blowout.

And... #20 should take the game off, and get 2 more weeks of healing. We don't need him, but he will be valuable in the long run. No use rushing him for this game.

He isn't being rushed. He's been practicing pre-game the past few weeks and Mattison has said he looks healthier than he's ever seen him.

I love this situation we are in. We are so easily able to roll in to the bye week at 5-2, and then fly out rested to obliterate the miserable Fins.

Well really. Hard to care about this game from a fans' perspective. Let's face it. We should destroy this team with our eyes closed. Of course, who knows? Cam might decide to run Rice left, over and over and over and not run any other play the entire game. Even the Bills would catch onto that pretty quick.

If we don't put this team away, and far away, in the first quarter, we are in trouble even if we win.

Even if they did, the question still remains can they still stop it?

Yeah, the Bills defense is extremely porous. I dont think it should be a problem. I cannot wait until Reed gets back in. I think we could have won on Sunday if we had had Reed on pass defense. We need him back, and i miss him.

I said that last year we either got teams off their bye weeks are we played them the week before Pittsburgh! like we soften teams up, players be injured after games against us then the steelers get the weaken leftovers to pound out!!

Well i dont mind a supposedly easy win before and after bye week. It gives us time to rest. You know, ive noticed that in the NFL, there are bad teams, but none that are the guarunteed win where you put second strings in. I guess thats cause there are FAR more college teams, and because college teams arent disbanded or bankrupt after bad seasons. Its all about the money T_T

I'm not one for conspiracy theories, so don't think that's what this post is. But man, do the Ravens get stuck with some hard schedule situations or what? In 2008 we get stuck with a week two bye, this year we had probably the hardest six game start in the NFL with the capper game against a good team coming off a bye, then we get to face a (on paper) weak Bills team coming off their bye as well. Sheesh!

This smells like a trap game. It's reminding of the 0-14 Dolphins game in 2007. Sometimes really bad teams surprise us..I hope the Ravens play really hard.

If I recall correctly we ended up with all the September road games because of the Orioles and the Jets insisted on the Ravens for the MNF opener. My dad used to think I was crazy when I came out with "conspiracy theories" he is beginning to think I'm right

Harbaugh is brilliant when it comes to these situations. He doesn't take any team lightly. Correct me if Im wrong, but I don't think we've lost to a sub .500 team under Harbaugh.

Nope, never to a team that finished with a losing record.

It shows Harbaugh and Co. gets the team prepared but you'd like to see them start beating teams like the Pats, Steelers, Bengals and Colts more consistently and not blow leads or make late mistakes against them.

I would love to hear a chorus of "Reeeeeedddd" come Sunday. Hopefully he gets 10-15 plays in. Just to get some game action and try to shake the rust off.

I'm ready for the Ravens to punish the Bills on my birthday. This will be a great game to unleash frustration and a great birthday gift for my 1st every NFL game.

Where are the tailgate parties going to be this Sunday?
:birthday:

Buffalo up next , and someone said we will destroy them. With our play calling, we won't destroy Buffalo, we don't "Destroy" anyone. Now win yeah we can win. We also have the talent on our roster to "Destroy", but our play calling doesn't allow it. Teams like the Pats and the Colts try to destroy every team they play a...nd they do it for a reason, because it is also psychological. It makes teams with conservative tendencies play conservative.

I absolutely hate statements like this..... even though we playing the win'less Bills, its still any given Sunday out there. I feel we will blow the Bills out myself but its always that possibility of an upset. I'm more interested to see the return of Ed Reed....... should definitely get him back in game shape.

"You should have beat that team by more!" is a stupid, stupid thing to say in the NFL. Even with the bad teams, there's parity. This isn't college and it's certainly not high school - these are all professional athletes paid frankly ridiculous amounts of money to be good at hitting a person carrying a ball, or avoiding getting hit while carrying a ball. Even if we win by one point, I'll still be happy with it.

That's true it could be an easy win but it's teams like the bills you have to look out for because they have something to prove and teams like that will beat you faster than your usual dominant teams.

To partially quote what I said in another thread about this game, this game has the brewings of a trap game.

This is the Ravens' "homecoming" game, honoring the tenth anniversary of the franchise's Super Bowl victory. The fact that the Ravens chose this game, in particular, might motivate some of the Bills. Beyond that, Buffalo may be 0-5, but three of their five losses were by 5, 8, and 10 points -- all winnable games, all manageable deficits to overcome. Looking closer at the Bills' performances, Ryan Fitzpatrick has been a huge improvement over Trent Edwards, with a 61.2% completion rating and throwing 7 TDs to only 2 INTs in 3 games.

The Bills will be motivated to rain on the Ravens' parade, so Harbaugh has to treat this game as any other game and give Buffalo its due respect
