Week 7 - Buffalo Bills

Alright, good game against the Patriots. Wish we could've came out the other way with the win but even though we can question playcalling or the play of defense and who should've, could've, etc, the boys still stuck in there and had a chance to win. I'm glad that we are at 4-2 right now. We could easily be the other way around but these are learning experiences that I think will help this team over the hump and the bye couldn't come at the right time in my perspective.

Well.. we got the winless bills. On paper, easy win. In reality, most likely a W but the Bills can score some points and their secondary is ranked 10th in the league I believe and I think last year they were the best. However, they suck with teams that can run the ball.

Nevertheless, I think we pull this one out. Not calling it a blowout or anything like that but if the Ravens play four whole quarters like the first three against the Pats, then it can get ugly.

Oh.. and Reed is back. Should we start him against the Bills or let him sit out? Me, let him run around and get some contact. My lord how I miss seeing 20 on the field. Thoughts and predictions?

Also, aren't we celebrating the Super Bowl team at the Stadium?

VERY tough week for both of us this week. :(

However, I am confident you guys will make a loud statement next week and absolutely kill the Bills.

As for us, well, we should win, but we have struggled against the Raiders at home recently. :34853_brickwall:

3 Keys to Victory for you guys:
1) Ray Rice -use him and use him often
2) Blitz, and blitz some more
3) Show up to the Stadium *and you should win*

We just got the Pats off their bye, now we get the Bills off a bye, and they have a lot to turn around so what Bills team will we see?
However, I think there are a lot of good things going on for the Ravens this week such as recognizing the Ravens Super Bowl team, Ed Reed and Ayanbadejo (at least I think he'll be ready) are coming back.
The stadium will go nuts seeing Reed finally suited up.
We'll be coming off a tough loss, and we're going to want to have a great win to take into our bye week.
But, the Bills will give us a good fight, with 2 weeks to prepare and fresh legs with a lot to prove...

You don't want to play a pissed off Ravens team in Baltimore. With the return of Ed Reed? Whew..

I think the Bills have talent, but they can't compare to the Ravens team-wise. Anything less than a two-score win will be disappointing.

It should be a week ravens fans can finally sit back and relax, not to say thats its a complete lock, but i look at this game prolly being over just after halftime. I dont see the bills running against us, i don't see Ryan Fitzpatrick posing a viable threat to our defense. My primary concern is mabye C.J. Spiller, he looks like a future star, and is prolly due for a break out game soon, other than that, I feel like this is a good week for the offense to try some new things and maybe give joe a good chance to keep working on his chemistry 'in game' with his receivers, all the while giving Ed Reed a chance to ease his way back into the D....looking forward to this one....

I'm ready for the Ravens to punish the Bills on my birthday. This will be a great game to unleash frustration and a great birthday gift for my 1st every NFL game.

Where are the tailgate parties going to be this Sunday?

This will be a big game... the fact we are celebrating the Super Bowl team makes it even more special. I agree with one poster, if we don't win by 2 it will be a disappointment. I'll be traveling up from NC to go to the game with my dad so to see a game at the Bank is going to be awesome.

My thing is this will remind me of when we lost to Cincy, Cam called horrible plays to lose the game, and they bounced back offensively against Cleveland and Pittsburgh. I expect a offensive breakthrough and for the defense to play shut out and the Ravens to walk away with a huge win and head into the Bye on a good note.

I predict Reed to have 3 Interceptions and for 1 to be returned for a TD.

I hope we take this game serious because if we dont we could lose. No game is a given win plus they have 2 weeks to prepare and their defense is there strong point not the offense. If they run cover 2 we could be in trouble.

Lets hope we don't come out with a boring vanilla game plan. Playing the Bills will only make it appear that that stuff actually works.

It should be vanilla. Bills are dead last in rushing defense. Allowing 182 yards a game. And those stats aren't skewed by one bad game. They are just bad in stopping the run.

We should see a big game on the ground with nothing fancy. It just isn't needed.

Sure, confusion is not needed to win this game, but do we really want to go into the bye thinking the game plan should always be linear? What sucks is playing the Bills before the bye. If any game is fresh in your mind as you go into a bye, you want it to be one that revealed where you struggled, not the gimme game.

I hope the Bills play Cover 2 zone all game so Cam/Joe can actually throw some passes aside from check downs.

We gotta look at the positives guys because if we harp on the neg all we will do is bring down the team. Thru the good and bad this is our team and we will be fine come the end of the season. This is our year thru the bumps in the road and we got this dont lose the faith.

Why do we always get teams coming off of bye's?
[/quote]

Ive noticed this the last few years... the last 2 years were particularly brutal if memory serves correct

Agreed. We haven't put together a complete game yet. This seems to be the perfect week to do that.

A good bounce back game to go 5-2, head into the bye well rested, come back and then we have some good competition coming after. The weeks following the bye will host some intense games

I really have a feeling we are gong to see the old Ed Reed. Hopefully he can have as close an impact as Troy has had on the Pitt defense.

I think we should play the draftees all game to give them the opportunity to show us what they can do, but ED and BA just for a few plays to get them into a nice rhythm

Buffalo aren't a JV team the Ravens will be able to play their younger players against and still win comfortably. We may see more than some of the rookies(like Dickson and Cody) in garbage time but not until then.
