I dont like to complain about much about things concerning our team but, i noticed how well Brady played when we played conservative or when we rushed 4 or even 3 and dropped EVERYONE into a cover-2 zone. We had everyone DEEP on almost every play, corners, safeties, there was no support for our mid zone coverage. The best way to stop someone like Brady is to put him on his back, or rush him into making a mistake and the only way that can happen is to apply pressure. I would be happy to see us imply the "bend but dont break" method, but all we are doing is playing conservative and its driving me crazy i just had to start a rant. Anyay, if you could run our defense what would you prefer, Aggressive or Conservative?

Yes, the entire coaching staff played conservatively which lead to the loss.

Sure, whats the message boards for if you cant complain with a bunch of other people who feel almost like you? Besides it was supposed to be a poll of which you would rather see more aggressive defense or conservative..

In certain situations, you can get by with a conservative D but today, Mattison should have called more blitzes and more man coverage.

Im actually glad we lost this game, that way we can play them in the playoffs with a chip on our shoulders.

With how well Carr has been playing 1 on 1, arguably the best "cover" corner or corner that can play on an "island" in Webb, and possibly one of the faster DB's in the league, i dont understand why we dont blitz more. Just saying..

I worked today so I missed the game. I was watching SOME of the game on the NFL app for droid and it seemed like our corners were playing 5+ yards off the ball like always. I would like to see some more physical play at the line but it is what it is. That's just not in Mattison's game plan.

Wish Reed came back this week instead of next week....he could of helped.

Why don't we give our secondary help by blitzing a safety? That's right, help them by taking a man out. That way they won't have to cover a guy for 10 seconds every play.

There were times when the blitz was picked up which may be a reason why Mattison went away from it.

Today, Webb struggled. He was beat twice at the line by Welker and Branch, giving up 1st down grabs and gave up the TD pass to Branch too(although Brady had all day to throw).

Mattison likes bringing pressure with 4 lineman but the same way it didn't work often last year, the pass rush hasn't really been there this year. Hopefully, he starts blitzing more with Ed back.

If our defense had been more aggressive in the last drive of the NE game, the Patriots wouldn't have been able to get a 33-yd FG to win.

No offense to JJ but we need to make a move for a situational pass rusher. We are the Baltimore freakin' Ravens. We have been known for great defenses over the years(which we still are, we aren't allowing that many points or yards) but we aren't as feared as we used to be. I want a pass rush so sick that offensive line coaches get fired for letting their group getting demolished.

I agree. JJ is a good player, but he really doesn't complement Suggs in pass rushing.

Yes, that play worked perfectly but how many times was Brady truly rushed and forced to make bad decisions the other times Mattison sent a blitz?

Look at the Titans, they lead the NFL in sacks yet are ranked 26th in pass D.

We're a top 3 pass defense, our guys have been playing tight coverage for the most part and it's been paying off.

You better hope we even get to play in the playoffs first. I mean the Jets have already run the table once in that division, I don't know how the hell they keep winning but I think people might want to start thinking they might be a sure nuff contender! I would say the way they are going now they will win their division, and if the Pats can ride their tales heavy they might be fighting for that wild card and if it comes down to it, they would take the wild card if it was between us and them, am I right on that? Point blank the Ravens need an AFC North title this year to get a playoff spot (IMO). I just don't know why Cam would feel comfortable in NE with a 10 point lead to play the game and call it the way he did. Why play conservative with a 10 point lead?? What is up with Cam this season, and his play calling? We see Joe and the entire offense can FREAKING PLAY AND ARE ACTUALLY PRETTY DAMN GOOD! I'm tired of seeing Cam get a lead and pull up, man pound the score board and let up when there are a few mins left in the game and you know you got it won!! Thank god this was only the second loss, but I hope it don't come back to haunt us!!

Getting pressure killed us this game. Brady had so much time to throw it wasn't funny. Losing Kindle killed us cause he was supposed to help that. We need more pass rush.

If we dont make playoffs this year, someone is getting fired. That's guaranteed.
