I'd love it if somehow it all worked out and we had a rematch in a sb.
Amen to that. Hope we see you again this year - that would be fitting.

Having not watched any Falcons games this year it surprises me that Ryan hadn't taken the shackles off sooner. The kid has his act together and is clearly a sharp guy. We still love Joe of course...well some of us do :P .

I've enjoyed your posting. You represent ATL well. Again hopefully we'll see you in the last game of the 2010 season.

What's even worse about this game is now we have to stew in the loss for an additional 3 days. Its going to be a long 10 days.

Our game thread consisted of:

50% talk about how bad the commentating was
25% of how the game is over after every play of the game
15% of the positive fans trying to stay positive
10% Other

Who was that one cat that had the "game over we're 6-3 not aggressive enough" line ready for copy and paste at 10 min intervals lol

Just went back for entertainment sake. Here is the first mention of the game being over (around 9pm) and we didn't score on that drive
This game is over if we dont score on this drive
Then we got this bright idea:
Might it be time to try the Bulger experiment?
Then here was the first full blown game over:
game over
But the one you are talking about is this one I believe. We all sort of went off on him.
Game over........6-3
This was all before 9:40 and halftime.

Thanks.

I think we have been too hung up being a power running team instead of using the talent we have on the field. The eagles thoroughly embarrassed us and since then our OC has finally started to see the light.

Obviously I was upset about the game, but I knew it was far from over.

However, the commentating did not help. At all.

The Raiders? Really?

I think we all know what Joe Theisman does with his spare time.

Did anyone else realize Joe outperformed Matt Ryan?

He had a QB rating 2 points lower than Ryan, but had to deal with much worse pressure. That and Ryan's last TD shouldn't have counted. (Yeah, I said it.)

I agree, but it is hardly any consolation when the rest of the team got outplayed.

Joe played great, but I wouldn't say he outperformed Ryan.
Dude was brilliant.

No the big difference was Matt running the no-huddle and wearing down your defense which was expecting us to run more. Our Oline is meh most of the time but the no-huddle makes them seem like superstars.

I thought Joe did a great job. You could tell he was uncomfortable at first but his cool kicked in and he really made a game of it. You definitely have your franchise quarterback.
Yeah, I agree Finally. The first half was our normal (for this year for some reason) lack of pressure on the QB. Suggs turned it up in the second half. I'm proud of the way Flacco and Co came back. And as far as the debate, Ryan is winning that debate right now, he was incredible last night. Congrats. We will see you again. I hope we bring an O-line with us when we do. ;)

Guys please stop complaining about the refs. The Jenkins play looked like a good catch with possession and both feet in to me and the Roddy TD at the end was only debatable. The only thing they did wrong imo was miss holding on both sides.

I thought it was a good catch. If I saw the same catch but the player was Boldin. I think many people here would see that as a good catch.

Im not mad about that, Im mad about how awful Webbs coverage was on that play. Theres 40 seconds, they have 1 TO...maybe think to take outside coverage and funnel him inside to keep the clock going if they do complete it? Just a thought.

Saw the replay on that and couldn't believe what I saw, everyone on the D had taken away the outside except for Webb. Everywhere else the D was pretty much locked down.

That was without a doubt the worst awareness on a particular play Ive seen from Webb since hes started playing for us.

I am not going to get into the PI debate. Obviously I can't know this for certain but I having watched Ryan quite a bit even if he had gotten backed up I still think he would have squeezed a FG out of the situation. I was pretty confident when that drive began just because I have seen it so many times out of him already.

I see no reason for it to be a debate. You have your guy and now all you need to do is keep winning with him. He is only going to get better and your team should adapt over time to further promote his strengths.

Well if he doesn't get credit for field goals, does he? The point is Joe put up very similar stats only with much more pressure and without a free touchdown.
