Willis McGahee

I don't understand. Was McGahee injured? Was he sat down due to disciplinary issues? Why did he not see the field AT ALL?

Coming into the game, everyone knew that the Patriots would try and stop Ray Rice. So why did the Ravens play right into their hands and give him the ball 27 times when he wasn't running superbly or keeping throwing checkdown passes to him?

Why not go for a change of pace and bring in some fresh legs? The "three headed monster" was formidable because you had three distinct running styles that wore out the defenses. Yet we kept giving the ball to the same guy that the defense had prepared two weeks for to take out of the game and was pretty much ineffective.

McGahee needs more carries.

Personally, I don't think McGahee didn't see the field because of disciplinary reasons but him not seeing the field for even a snap is very puzzling.

I was actually pretty confused about this, too. Especially in OT - I was expecting us to put in Willis and watch an exhausted D get run all over.

The coaching really cost us this game...

I completely agree! Rice is off this year. Willis seems to have a passion about him. Plus we have soooo many receivers. every time I heard (the radio) ray Rice, I was like C'MON!

I really wanted to see Willis in the 4th quarter. He's a pile moving, stiffarming, potential long gainer waiting to happen. I don't get it at all.

How is he been off? The only teams that truly shut Rice down were the Jets and Steelers(two of the best defenses in the league). He was on his way toward a big game against the Bengals before Cam took the ball out of his hands. He was having a solid game against the Browns before he got hurt, he ran all over the Broncos and got tough yards against a team obviously keying on him today.

You say Willis has a "passion about him"? He's fumbled twice and been stuffed on the goal-line twice too.

I think he should have received at least a few carries today but let's not get carried way.

McGahee was on the sideline... laughing at the playcalling. Laughing at Ray Rice running straight into Patriot defenders instead of running outside EVER. He was resting up, hoping that he gets to play next week against his former team, the Buffalo Bills.

But as much sense as that would make... I'm sure we'll see another dismal performance by Flacco, and a laughable game-plan from Cam Cameron.

I'm sure Mattison's defense will be pretty unimpressive too, but being at home... the talent of the players will probably mask that. After all, it IS the return of Ed Reed next week.

You make it sound like we are the freaking Lions over here. We are 4-2 after a very tough schedule. 285 yds and 2 TDs with 0 INTs is "dismal"? Cam I can't defend in this one, he was frustrating me, and I think Flacco's stats would have continued to climb if Cam would have not crawled into the CamBall cave.. The defense was okay, not too great, but certainly not "very unimpressive". Good lord.

I hope there was a reason he didn't play, because to just flat out decide not to play him at all is completely ridiculous!!!!

TJ and McGahee definitely needed to see the ball more.

This offense was really balanced in the game (34 pass, 33 run) but they needed to put in the right personal to make sure they executed correctly. I don't want to say this offense is losing its identity, because I did like the evening of pass and run games called, but at least make the proper adjustments to the opposing defenses. The Ravens simply got out coached against the Pats, despite keeping it close.

Well that's a plus that we were that balanced. Too bad the execution just wasn't there in the second half. But we need to stay focus on that balance attack going forward.

Well these are all questions for Cam "the genius" Cameron.

Bottom line this dog house bs is going to far. I better not hear that you ran Ray Rice in the ground because Willis was late to practice or something. If you are not going to play him then trade him. That is way to much money to be sitting on the bench. Not to mention Ray rice didn't look all that good running the ball today. Im tired of waiting for this team to take the next step and beat a good team. (You are only elite if you can beat the elite. )

Who has said Willis is in the doghouse? Cam simply didn't use him(something we've seen before this season and in past seasons). I don't know why people are so surprised.

As for beating good teams, I seem to recall wins over the Jets and Steelers in their house this year. And with the Pats, don't talk to me about Ben being out because no team that played them prior Week 4 could beat them.

Trade deadline is Tuesday isn't it? Maybe making sure he isn't hurt just in case there's some ridiculous offer made? Don't see why the Ravens would do it though, key depth, and could have been a game changer today on 3rd and short.

a couple of weeks ago, coach Harbs said (about his play-calling) that Cam had....ummmm....how did he say that? "ICE-WATER" in his veins. really? really? really? coach needs to stop trying to be politically correct and tell Cam that his play-calling (esp. at crucial points and time in the game) suck! and that is the truth!
“It wasn’t part of the plan or anything like that,” Harbaugh said. “I am not sure as far as a rotation. This is a kind of game that Ray [Rice] can excel in, with the type of plays we were running and the surface of the field. Ray was doing okay too.”
Come on Harbs...the fact that Rice's longest run was of 8 yards and he only had a 3.1 average is not okay. Everyone knew coming into the game that the Pats would try to eliminate Ray Rice so why did you run (no pun) right into what Belchick wanted you to do!

I'm not sure if he's the one who left McGahee on the bench, or if its Cam who didn't utilize him. He's got to do what Rex Ryan did with his OC and tell him what players he wants to use. Cam shouldn't be running this offense unchecked.

I was surprised I didn't see McGahee on the box score ( i was at work, didnt get to watch game). Did it cost us the game? Not necessarily but it would of most likely helped our team by giving him the ball and have him pass block for Flacco.
