It'll help if we can end up with a better record and force these proflific passing "dome" teams out into the cold evenings of Baltimore in late December/early Jan. Then we might be able to eke by without a dominant pass rush. But I wouldn't say we couldn't win a Bowl.

I know it helps having a pass rush but if we have someone like Ed Reed back there, I'll still be a little comfortable.

Could be the case, but I think that is going a bit overboard. I can see us shutting down the Texans, just like we did last time we played them. We've contained Manning as well as you can hope to the last few times we played, other than the game in 2008.
Sometimes a good defense is a great offense, and offensively, I think we can do some damage against those teams.

Exactly. Our biggest problem from keeping us from beating Colts is our offense. We've addressed that. We're ready to go to battle with them.

its all good, man..not very likely that merriman will be able to return to former glory anyway. This might have saved the team a lot of disappointment.

That sucks for Merriman, although someone else would have claimed him over us if the Bills hadn't. Moss found a good home with the Titans.

The Saints pass rush was very very average last season but they got turnovers and could score on offense to balance it out. Ravens can win if the offense takes the pressure off them at times.
