Yeah, I'm starting to think Harbaugh should learned to live with the supposed attitude issues Barnes and lack of commitment to special teams and kept him here over a player like Edgar Jones.

Barnett is an inside LB and the Pack would be low on the waiver priority list if they made a claim.

I realize at the time of the trade we had those three on the roster together, but I thought you meant we had too many now. Because clearly Jones isn't going to play another down for us.

Not sure, im looking around now for something. Last i read, it was at "most" a six week timetable.. and that was 2 weeks ago. The more i think about it, and the more our situation plays out, I can see the Ravens putting in a waiver request for him. My question is... and i'm not exactly sure how this works with this kinda injured reserve waiver, but if a team with a worse record places a claim for him... he can turn it down correct? He does have say so over who picks him up?

No , he can't turn it down . I don't see the Ravens claiming him at his full salary though. If nobody picks him up and he becomes a free agent maybe Baltimore will make a move and get him at a discount

He was placed on waivers, the 49ers picked him off there. I think the Steelers were hoping to stash him on the PS.

My only concern is the 49ers passing on him. Merriman's old LB coach is currently there. I really hope Jason La Canfora is wrong. Merriman on passing downs and JJ on run downs! Although haters will claim he's injured and passed his prime, we can't be certain that he will never be able to make plays again.
