Boardwalk Empire

Does anyone watch Martin Scorsese's "Boardwalk Empire" on HBO? The show blew me away: it definitely lived up to the hype! It's fascinating to see personal perspectives (the show is based on real events and characters, such as Al Capone and Lucky Luciano) on one of this country's most divisive issues evr: Prohibition.

The pilot reminds me of "The Godfather": it dealt with domestic abuse, coruption in the police force and in politicians, gang debates on whether or not they should expand their business to selling drugs, and the effects of war on the psyche.

I just finished the Sopranos last week... a few years behind, but hey, it was worth it.
