Better than Boller AND Elvis Grbac?! WOW.

Seriously though, the discussion is pointless. Flacco is out QB and our season is in his hands.

Not good enough? OK, how about these, he has 24 wins up to this point as a starting quarterback, and he's tied for the second fewest turnovers for a qb in their first two seasons, better? and the point i was trying to make is that he's the most stable quarterback the ravens have had, he's continuing his improvement, and hasnt reached his ceiling yet. I'm still shocked at how people are down on him in this city, obsessed with the little qb that couldn't (see the #10 former ohio state heisman winner) I think its time people started realizing this guy is the first great qb in this fanchises history.

I'm not sure why you think I'd buy into the notion that Flacco is the reason we won 24 games, I'm pretty sure our top 5 D and run game played a part.

His playoff stats are the only ones I'm interested in.

Flacco isn't the main power of the Ravens now. But who knows, in a few years he might be the focal point of the offense.

Flacco is overrated. The sooner the Ravens realize this, the sooner they might actually be able to get back to the Super Bowl. Just look at this Patriots game. It's not the defense. It's not the special teams. It's not the run game. It's Flacco. <profanity> OPEN YOUR EYES, and read the defense! That QB sneak... HORRIBLE. His throws, choices, and happy feet in the pocket... HORRIBLE. I'm so sick of watching a 3rd year QB making rookie mistakes on a continual basis.

Really? It's not the defense? You mean the defense that let some guy named Woodhead run all over them? The defense that let Brady start carving them up to bring the Patriots back? It's not the special teams? The guy who kept bring the ball out of the endzone instead of kneeling and making us start from behind the 10 yard line? It's not the run game that didn't work all game, that we stubbornly kept going back to even though we weren't making any headway? Right, it's AALLLLL Flacco. You're the guy who needs to open his eyes, bub.

The D was great today. I have to look at tape. Either Flacco just decided to not play in the 4th or the WR's weren't getting open. Someones obviously at fault.....

I'm not blaming Flacco yet. I'll have to watch the gametape....

Flacco needs to learn how to scramble inside the pocket. He passes the ball way to early when being protected.

Also check how many receivers we were using, it seemed like we refused to spread it out in the fourth quarter and beyond.

77% completion percentage, 285yrds, 8ypc, 2 tds, 0ints on the road in foxborough facing off against tom brady. Yea, what a terrible qb he is. Its all his fault.

you people make me sick sometimes. If thats the kind of support you give to your team then PLEASE dont be a fan of my team, flacco was a beast today, end of story.

yeah, he had great stats but he didnt win the game when he had a chance to SEVERAL times. He just isnt THAT clutch yet. The steelers game was impressive but you have to do it more than once to be an elite QB. He didnt drive the team ONE TIME after the Boldin TD. We just bled yards on D the whole 2nd half and didnt get any of our own.
Flacco kicked Brady's behind on the stat sheet, but look who won the game.

I'd have to watch the game again, but I'm not sure who was the one calling for the checkdowns towards the end of the game. I saw that Boldin was open during a few plays and could have caught the ball. I'm unsure if it's Joe just thinking "I can't screw this up by throwing a pick" and looks for the clear cut open pass (the check down) instead of trying to zing it in there to his receiver--which he was doing perfectly in the first quarter. Maybe he has nervous jitters during close games.

These flacco haters are so predictable. Not a peep from them when flacco wins the game for us in pitts, but despite a great performance today, he gets bashed because our defense decided to lay down and blow a 10 point lead.LAME

The defense repeatedly stopped Brady. They stopped the last minute of regulation, and go check how many times Brady had the ball in OT.

Our offense as a whole cost us the game.

yeah, the defense blew a 10 point lead, but its unacceptable for the offense to just mail it in midway through the 3rd quarter and rest on the defense the rest of the way.
I tell ya, Joe cool did not look cool in the 4th or overtime. He looked so scared to make a mistake, especially after he threw the ball to Heap and almost got picked.

Remember we were sending Boldin and Mason on routes and then Rice as the check down most plays which is why Flacco had no targets. We picked up TJ for a reason, use him.(TJ WILL have conference this week how he could have helped us and he felt useless and you know what he is right)

When you only have 2 to 3 targets it doesn't make your QB feel very confident, especially when they weren't breaking away from defenders.(2nd half)

Joe Flacco

Weeks 1-2

37 for 77 - 48%
402 Yards
1 TD, 5 INT
43 QB Rating

Weeks 3-6
87 for 128 - 68%
999 Yards
6 TD, 1 INT
105 QB Rating

----

Like a fine wine, Joe Flacco has statistically improved each week. We (before the season) assumed Flacco would be a ProBowl qb each and every game, but- we've been proven wrong. With a new WR core Flacco has gotten better with each and every week- regardless of the play calling. As it currently sits, Joe has been the best QB in the league through games 3-6.

And he's only getting better each and every week.

Well Brady didn't look so cool early, and he DID throw a pick. We did not have the right mentality when we took the 20-10 lead, and just because the good part of Brady's game came later doesn't mean it's all on Flacco. Our run game didn't really get going, and we misplayed our hand in the fourth quarter. Once again, the coaching and general strategy in this game give me reason to worry.

there would have been no over time in the first place had the defense done their jobs.
Flacco put us in position to win by giving us a 10 point lead. The defense screwed that up.

Did you even watch the game? When we were THROWING the ball, we were winning, and Flacco is the one who threw the touchdown passes. The QB sneak was called by the offensive coordinator. How do I know this? Watch it, he catches the snap and moves straight ahead, it wasn't a pass play at all, which is how the Patriots were able to read it and stop it. We stopped throwing when we went up 10 points and tred to run the ball, instead of moving it through the air where we had so much success. Maybe yous hould become a fan of another team. The guy is the all-time leader in passing yards for our franchise. More "experienced" quarterbacks couldn't get the job done, and he has. The Patriots gameplanned against the run, and we shredded them with the pass all through the first half. You say it wasn't the run game, then why didn't rice have a 100 yard, 2 TD performance. You say it wasn't the defense when we were up by 10 points in the fourth quarter and they let the Pats tie the game. Flacco has played fine, you just want to blame him for everything when you know the defense let the Pats back in it. You looked at 2 series, and qb sneak and the last one with the dump offs, and call it a bad day, when he was 27/35, a 77 percent completion percentage. If your such a genious, you should know 2 series don't make or break any game. I'd suggest you open your eyes or go find a new team to root for. If Flacco is so overrated, why does it seem like every time we lose, all of the fans jump all over him and he never gets credit for the wins?

Joe's detractors can say what they want. To me, he played a good game today to keep the Ravens in the game and hit Mason in stride in the end-zone when the score was 17-10. Mason would still have had to absorb a shot from Chung had he caught it but the ball hit him in the hands but he didn't make the play. Not that the game was lost on that play but it was a big opportunity that might have led to a W.
