Club Seats At M&T Bank Stadium

10 posts in this topic

Has anyone on here sat in the club section of the stadium? I'm planning on taking my GF to the game against the Bills and I was wondering what your opinion is on the Club level seating. There are some club seats still available for $250 p/seat. However, they're the corner club seats (Sect 222,220, 248, 208, 209, 210, 236, 243, 244). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

If you can afford it, do it, and don't hesitate.

I'm sorry, I just have to vent for a second about the whole club seat thing.
Today, technically yesterday (Friday) My girlfriend called me from her parents house, she's watching their dog for the weekend, as they went to some Corvette thing in Ocean City.
She got an envelope with some money for food, etc, that's nice right? But as it turns out there was one other thing in there.
One thing I'd love to have, one thing I think I've worked hard enough to have, one thing that my devotion to the Ravens might, in some weird universal way, might come back to me, turns out to be ONE ticket, club level seats, to the Dolphins game, but not an extra for me...

Turns out, they could only get 3...

While they are big Ravens fans, they aren't quite...well you know what I'm getting at.
What a slap in the face...
Of course, under the conditions of how they got them, they couldn't get 4, only 3 being available, so I understand!.
But, given the fact that I age at least a year, during each Ravens game, bringing me closer to death, I think I deserve some club level seats during my lifetime.

I'm not rich, not even close, and every time I go to a Ravens game I typically have those nosebleed seats.
I'll let everyone in on a secret about me, I have an irrational fear of heights, and I can't even make it up to those seats, so I have to sneak down with friends to field level and watch the game, it just so happens that the ushers, or whatever, are more watchful than at O's games, so it's hard to do. I get vertigo, etc, all the crazy things I can't describe from heights, it's nuts.
Just once would I love to see a game, at a level close to the ground, without being chased off and be a part of the 12th man, hearing the crowd yell "Defense" and "move those chains", etc.
That's a struggle in life I'm willing to fight for.

We moved to club seats last year after a decade+ upstairs - at the wife's insistence - after sampling the club seats sporadically over the years. I was - and still would be) - just as happy upstairs when considering the the value of the ticket (except for the lack of escalators to the top deck).

The only time that the club seats are truly worth the money is when it is exceptionally hot/humid, or frigid, or in inclement weather. That's about 1/4th to 1/3rd of the games each season. Otherwise, the clubs seats are really overpriced for an entire season. However, every Ravens fan should attend at least one game in the club section for the experience.

Outside of the weather protection, the biggest plusses of the club sections:

escalators

huge restrooms with rare lines (typically just small postgame lines, otherwise clear)

better food (e.g. grilled crabcakes - all backfin)

large selection of imported beers and microbrews

limited waitress/waiter service at your seat (but the menu is very limited)

few opponents fans - never seen a fight

while there are a few drunks, they are typically confined to the area inside the club lounge
I can't think of a minus, outside of the ticket prices.

Tales of club section fans' lack of enthusiasm are often exaggerated - it usually gets just as loud in clubs as elsewhere, perhaps louder due to the upper deck overhang capturing and echoing the sound. Sure, there are some fans who spend most of the game inside the club lounge, sometimes getting soused at the bars; just as there are some fans in the upper and lower concourses who stand along the perimeter for much of the game drinking beer and smoking.
