Another Punter?

Per Aaron Wilson's twitter feed: "The Ravens worked out punter Dave Brytus on Thursday, a league source confirms."

Why? Anyone know?

I'm assuming Koch probably has an injury, maybe just a minor one that they want to let him rest to make sure it's not aggravated or lingering later in the season.

But hey, even if they really just want to carry 2 punters just for fun... I'm sure you'll get the "trust in Oz" posts.

The only reason I woud think is if Koch got injured. I know I saw somewhere where they had tried out 3 centers last week. I think they try out a lot of players all year, just in case something happens

He's not injured. He's ready to go this weekend. You can even listen to his confidence tonight on 105.7 the fan as he is a guest.

The Ravens are trying out punters just so they know who's out there, if they ever need one.

They occasionally "work out" a player just to get some extra practice reps or to practice against a different style. We must be working on our return game and don't want Koch's leg to fall off before the end of the season.

Well apparently the punter is a lefty just like the lefty punter we'll be playing against in Foxboro this weekend.

Don't know if it means anything, but worth mentioning. We did work out a lefter punter before the Steelers game as well.

Correct.

The Pats use a lefty punter, therefore the Ravens brought in a left punter for practice so we can get accustom to it before we travel to Foxboro.
