Worst decision DiPietro made was to leave the confort of the crease.
Funny thing about it is there was only 30 seconds left in the game and Johnson was kicked out because he passed the center ice line. So Fleury played 30 seconds and was rewarded with a shutout and a victory lol.

So because the goalie was kicked out, he doesn't get awarded the win?

Ahhh well this sucks, Malkin came back last night from his injury only to tear his ACL and MCL, this sucks.

Ouch. That's a huge long term hit. I"m guessing they don't expect him back this year?

Bummer. Not for the Caps though, should be an interesting game tomorrow. Is Crosby supposed to play tomorrow?

In all honesty. I'm not too disappointed. I like Malkin a lot more than Crosby. But still.

I can't even put 'like' in the same sentence with those names. I dislike Malkin a little less than Crosby lol.

I understand it, jealousy. And in all honesty I would have the same feelings if anything happened to any caps player, the way she goes, and no, no Crosby tomorrow, he hasn't even been cleared to practice yet.

Sorry to see Malkin out and I'm dead serious, I'm a hockey fan first and I want to see the best players perform on the biggest stage(playoffs). That being said,it doesn't change Pittsburgh plans that much ,they still need to get a scoring winger and now they would love a scoring winger who is a PP specialist as well to replace Geno's production. I have no doubt that Jordan Staal is ready to be the number 2 guy behind Sid and I still don't see that many teams having a better 1-2 punch down the middle than Pittsburgh. Ok,I name you one player Pittsburgh should look hard into adding to their team and that' Ray Whitney of the Phoenix Coyotes , one of the most underrated players and the guy is a puck-possesion player and a wizard on the PP . He's almost 39 I know but hasn't lost a step and has one more year @ 3 mil ...it's manageable

Good call on Ray Whitney, I'm familiar with him and wanted the Pens to sign him when he was done with the Canes and a free agent. While it would be nice to get a scoring winger before the trade deadline will cost a draft pick and a good prospect, with Phoenix being in contention to make the playoffs I don't see them shipping him. I look at another scoring winger who has some pizzaz left in his career, Jarome Iginla(I know somewhat of a dream). But I have been wanting this since I saw how well they played together in the 10' Olympics. While I know it is a stretch it is still a possibility because Calgary was doing a little plummeting and I don't see them making the playoffs, ohhh dare to dream.

Kunitz-Crosby-Iggy would be one helluva tough line to play against.

I'm going to have a serious laugh if you guys lose to Chicago again in the playoffs. You'd think the coaches would have some sense to make adjustments so they could get past that team.

the only adjustment that needs to b made is makin our goalie better, and thats impossible, dude is a choke artist

i just heard crysby is out at least another 10 days, and malkin is out too, but for how long?

It just shows who the d OU che fans are of the league, the kid stopped mouthing off after his 2nd year in the league. I also know it pains you that you wish the Nucks had a talent like him. The fans out there who still call him crybaby or w/e any of that crap, simply have a case of SCDS, Sidney Crosby Derangement Sydrome. Just cause your team doesn't give you enough to cheer about doesn't mean you should despise greatness:).'

What are you 12? Ask all these Capitals fans around here if scoring titles or presidents trophy or any of that crap matters.

Considering you have a 'choke artist' in net, to call the Canucks the best team is a stretch. After you take the Sedin's out of it and don't give them a lot of power play opportunities, you guys are average.

You should also read that article and not skip it, you could learn a lot.

Read it again, I said after you take the Sedins out of it. Like I said, after you slow the twins down you guys are average. Big deal about the best record in the league, 10 teams have probably already carried that accolade in the season already at some point or another, I know the Caps and Pens both had the best record in the league at times this year.

best record, most points, least amount of losses, 2 top 5 scorers, top 3 goal scorer, top assist man, 3rd place assist man, our top 4 defenseman r all in the top 25 +/-, our #1 golie doesnt have a reg loss in his last 20 games, not to mention our defense hasnt played its starting 6 in one game all season, 2nd in goals for, 3rd in ga, 1st in goal differential, 1st in pp, 4th in pk, 1st in faceoff %

sounds like ur typical average team to me :229031_rofl: :229031_rofl:
