haha like i said 24 hours

wins GF GA PP PK F0%
09-10 WSH / 54 / 1st 3.82 / 16th 2.77 / 1st 25.2% / 25th 78.8% / 6th 51.5%

10-11 VAN / 52 / 1st 3.19 / 1st 2.2 / 1st 24.7% / 1st 86.6% / 1st 55.1% *4 Games Left

safe to say the nux r a little more balanced haha

since the inception of the trophy here are the %s of what seed wins the cup, its weird how there is a stigma of a curse, if u compare last years caps and this years nux caps r no where near as good, but they won the trophy but were exposed in the playoffs, judging by those numbers u can c y, caps just basically outscored teams with almost 4 goals for a game, vancouver while not boasting such a high number, is still first in the league, and first in goals against, just a solid all round team. plus come playoff time we will have for the first time all season our entire top 6 dman core, i like our chances, i also like the chances of the caps making to the finals, more so than last year, they r a much better team chemistry wise, and r gelling at the right time too :)

1st: 7 (29.2% - Occupied by Canucks)
2nd: 2 (8.3% - Currently Flyers)
3rd: 3 (12.5% - Capitals)
4th: 4 (16.7% - Sharks)
5th: 2 (8.3% - Red Wings)
6th: 2 (8.3% - Penguins)
7th: 2 (8.3% - Bruins)
8th: 1 (4.2% - Lightning)
9th: 1 (4.2% - Coyotes)
Touché, my friend lol. I like the Canucks chances though, honestly. I have not seen a single weakness in their game thus far, unless you count how fragile their Dmen have been. Man, a Nux/Caps final would be cool.

ya not to many reg season weaknesses, but the playoffs is another story, if luongo craps the bed at least schneider can fill in, but who knows how well he will do being pretty much a rookie. should b an entertaining playoff, a lot of teams r fairly evenly matched, for majority of the season in the west, 4-5 points separted 5th from 12th place, crazy haha

All I will say is...

the Flyers are killing me...

Two more down....ugh
I can't believe they lost the conference lead. They have to get atleast 3 of the possible 4 points remaining to stay in 2nd place. I've been hearing that they are going to go with Leighton for these last two games. For some reason I had a feeling that they were going to do this. As injury prone as Leighton is, they kept him down in the AHL all year to stay in shape and healthy then call him back up for the playoffs. So here's the question? Who SHOULD they start in the playoffs?
Bobrovsky- He's quick, has tons of potential and can make some spectacular saves but he's a very young rookie and is going to let in the garbage from time to time.
Boucher- You know what you are going to get with him. He's never really on a hot streak or cold either.
Leighton- Injury prone, but can be outstanding when he's on his game. However when he's not he's just as shaky as Boucher and Bobrovsky can be.

Like I said, I don't care that the Flyers have lost first in the conference. I just don't want them losing first in the division.....specially if that's to the Pens... I DO NOT want the Flyers going up against the Dolts...er 'Bolts in the first round....not with all the issues and injuries we've got right now.

I really don't know who I'd want starting. I think of Leighton in the Boston series last year...and then I think of him letting in that soft goal that ended the Finals last year....please Leighton be the goalie you were during the Boston series last year. I think Bob will get better with more experience and more years under his belt. If Bouch were the Bouch he was ten years ago, I'd be more comfortable with him.

I really don't know.

We've had the same goalie issues since Hextall retired...darn long time not to find someone really consistent.

Looks like this year will be the first time in at least a decade that the Devils haven't made the playoffs *quietly cheering*

You wouldn't believe the amount of Philly fans I heard about 2 weeks ago bragging about how they had first, and how they were the best team, Washington sucks, blah blah blah. And I know you haven't been like that, just pointing it out haha. But now all of the sudden, those same fans are "Oh, I don't care you can take first place" or "Caps will choke again as the 1 seed". Idk what to say to all this now, lol.

First in the conference and first in the division were ours to lose. And by gods it looks like we lost both. I personally never said anything about the Caps sucking. I was just darned happy...not happy anymore....another epic collapse...we'll see what happens in the playoffs.

Referring to what ryan said about Pronger, do you know if he'll be back for round 1?

Dear hockey gods, I hope so, but the news that his rehab got screwed up really irks me. Pronger isn't really saying anything. The team isn't really saying anything. Bill Clement said on Flyers pre-game last night that he may not have been medically cleared to play yet. But if he hasn't been, I don't know why the team just doesn't say so...I don't think there's any psychological warfare going on with that.

Flyers lose tonight and fall to fourth in the conference and I swear I will throw something....I'll have to make sure nothing's within arm's reach tonight. *looks at the 40 oz stainless steel water bottle* Don't want to throw anything...miss the TV...and take out my lighthouse figurines.

Isn't it annoying? The Capitals organization does the same thing. We were wondering what happened to Arnott, Ovechkin, and a few other players when they are injured. The only response we get is "it's an upper/lower body injury" or "he'll be back as soon as he can".

Well we KNOW what happened to Pronger...he had wrist surgery March 15th. But since the team announced that they basically rushed his rehab and set him back, they've been buttoned up tighter than Fort Knox.

Ooooooooo methinks I'm going to watch the Frozen Four final tonight (instead of the choky Flyers): Minnesota-Duluth vs. Michigan.

there is no time table for his return, its hard to speculate on that haha, given its his hand its not as if he can just cast it up and get out there, hes gotta be able to grip his stick, doubt he will be there by round one, guys heal differently and all, but last year in teh nba jason terry broke his wrist and he was back in 6 weeks, and obviously i dont have to tell u how important a wrist is in basketball haha, pronger was injured lat feb, its hard to say, i would say he will b back for the playoffs at some point, but the first round, doubtful

It is hard to speculate. From what I understand, he had stabilization pins installed (I think). Hoping the Flyers make it through the first round so he can make it back....but like I said on the Flyers FB page earlier today, I've been a diehard fan for 25 years....I'm sadly used to the chokes and collapses.

That one looks to be a good one, PA. I'm rather fond of the Wolverines in that one, mostly due to their starting goalie, who is on the small side and is a walk-on. Also, I'm originally from Wyandotte, Michigan, near Detroit, so that will also play into my hopes for tonight.

I can not cheer for Michigan in any sport *chuckle*

This will most likely be a much better game than will Flyers/Islanders

Well, PA, the championship game went to overtime, and Minnesota-Duluth got the win, 3-2.

This is their first national championship in NCAA Division I Men's Hockey.

I know :) I am happy for them. And happy too that the Flyers won last night (I wasn't watching). Seriously should NOT have taken the Flyers to the VERY LAST game of the season to get it done....seriously....grrr. Lots of questions going into the playoffs.

A lot of Cap fans are deeply concerned about this series. I'm not at all. I'm personally excited to see if our guys will played scared because they've blown us out twice, or if we'll come out with a fire lit under our you know what's, and destroy these little punks.

important to who? nux fans want to face the hawks, the players maintain that they do as well, plus if luongo craps the bed schneider will come in, im not worried about the hawks, i hope dallas loses so we face them and exercise the demon so to speak

check out this vid, it was fram last saturday i believe, at about 4 mins they ask luongo about it, hes either a really good actor or he is ready "this time" haha
