Yep they are off to a great start. Should be another monster year for the Caps, just hopefully this team we don't face a hot goalie in the Playoffs (I'm so sick of it).

Neither the Caps or the Hawks will make it past round 3 this year, just my guess of course though. Penguins sure are having trouble putting pucks in the net in their new building. Outplayed most of the teams either the goalie has been showing us up or the posts so far, still no win in the Consol.

I have noticed that the Leafs look good...for the moment, yet we still have a whole season to go.

I have also read where the NHL has a deal with comic book impresario Stan Lee to come up with some superheroes based on the individual teams. Now those I would like to see.

I will be watching as the season progresses, and with any luck at all, the Red Wings will make the playoffs. The Leafs, however, are another story.

The Leafs GM, Brian Burke is a premier GM in the NHL and knows how to build a team...even if the Leafs stumble this year down the stretch Burke will have that team in the playoffs in a couple years.

Yeah I saw yesterday. I HATED him when he coached the Devils....with as much passion as my orange and black hockey heart could muster.

You and me both, when he was the coach of the Devils that is probably the best they have ever been. They were an absolute pain to play against, and it was also a pain to watch! lol

Watched them beat Edmonton 5-2, after the debacle in Pitt., so the evening wasn't a total loss for me.

Actually we've got two: '73 and '74. None since although they did come close a few times. That '87 final against the Oilers was pretty epic. Just too bad Hexy couldn't get it done...and pity they couldn't get it done last season either...

Biggest fail was Pittsburgh in 93 when they won the Presidents and had like 130 points coming off back to back Stanley Cups, just got eliminated by the Isles.

If I ever rooted for a second team, the Kings would be it. I love the core and youth movement they have going on there, they're going to be a really good team in the future.
