I don't generally do the jumping on cordinator off thing, But I've always hated mattisons bland rush 3-4 linemen defense. It's awful and simply does NOT work against any decent cbs.

At half, this game was Cams fault for leaving the defense on the field for 3/4s of the game. But Cam bailed out our defense bigtime today....but run the damn ball Cam to start the game against terrible rush defenses jez.

The offense continued to come up short and relied on a defensive turnover in overtime to get the field position for the win.

Both sides were bad today.

1) The pass rush is still anemic.

2) The team still can't put together a complete performance. I don't expect perfect execution all the time but it's extremely frustrating when a team loaded with so much talent can't play well together as a team for an entire game.

Hopefully Stallworth when he returns can work into the slot over TJ. Other than drawing a few penalties and that game in Pittsburgh, TJ is a non-factor and we need to stretch the field bad.

Also I hope Merriman can come. Pass rush blows. We need anything cause JJ isn't getting it done.

This is 2 weeks in a row we lost 10 pt leads in the 4th qtr!! It is pretty dumb to face the worst run defense in the league with a 10 pt leading and (having averaged about 6 to 8yds per carry throughout the game) but still choose to pass the ball and give the team a chance to drive and score.... Time of possession shows our lack of running consistently...

I thought this could have been the game for the offense to shine ( with either 200 rushing yds or 400+ total yds ) instead we gave up 500 yds of offensive on defense...

I can't help but feel that some of CBs played a little weak, (soft), inconsistent because they felt confident having the Safety Blanket known as Ed Reed back..

Our Blitz never seem to be creative enough to catch opponents off guard, (we never get like the blind-side forced fumble sack)

Why does the offense start to suck the last couple minutes? The second week in a row, we can't muster a scoring drive to put away the Bills in the 4th or get a first down in OT.

For those of you criticizing the defense, you better be giving the offense just as much criticism for mailing it in early again...

Fabian played awful today, giving up 3 td's.
The defense played awful giving up over 500 yards.
Flacco, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed is the reason this team won today.
but
the defense did a very poor job of tackling.
Ed Reed and Ray Lewis made up for the 4 TD's by the CB's.

I love Ed but neither of his INTs were special individual plays.

Having seen many of your posts it does seem that you actually DO like to come on here and start trouble. In this instance, however, given that your Steelers did not perform very well today either and needed a questionable call to give them the go-ahead FG, um, thinking you shouldn't be throwing stones. The fumble he caused was huge, because with the way there offense was playing, he basically saved us at least 3 points.

His 2 INT's were also huge, because we weren't stopping them at all. Every TO he caused saved us points.

Thats the way you have to look at it when the defense gives up nearly 500 yards.

I'm not denying the impact he made today. I simply wanted to put the INTs he had in perspective.

Also, Ed deserves some blame for not getting over fast enough on at least two of the bombs that went for TDs. I understand he's hurt and not in game-shape but those were still plays he didn't make.

i really hate Cams game plan. we all know the defense isnt what it use to be so do we two weeks in a row have the ball and cant hold on to it. Cam thanks for trying to give the game away two weeks in a row.

Cam made an effort to mix it up such as
The Flea Flicker,
The Toss out to the RB.
Going for it on 4th down.
But Ravens won because overall our offensive players were better than their defense.
Flacco led our team from behind and was the reason the Ravens won.

The int's helped negate the 4 passing TD's but overall the "D" was giving it away.
They finally replaced Washington near the end of the game with Josh Wilson.
The broken tackles by the whole defense were a joke.
No pressure on the QB.
500 yards of opposing offense.

I would like to cry about people coming here and complaining about a game that the Ravens WON!

Sure, Fabian got beat like a drum yesterday and they knew that he couldn't cover Evans so they picked on him. Mcgahee fumbled the ball when the Ravens could have locked the game up, Buffalo scored and narrowed the lead.

It was only a few weeks ago that Buffalo went blow for blow with the Patriots..wasn't the score something like 38-31? Sound familiar?

Honestly, I think we all underestimated Buffalo's offense, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. They played one heck of a game, and if they can get a few more pieces on defense they could have a pretty competitive squad in the very near future. This definitely isn't the same Bills team that we have seen for the past few years. Gasp..they aren't pushovers like I and many of you thought they would be. But guess what? The Ravens battled back from a huge hole early and won the game. They now have a bye to figure out what went wrong and fix it. Remember last year? After the bye week the Ravens defense was a completely different animal and I expect no less this season.

So let's stop the whining, the Ravens are off to their best start ever as a franchise..5-2 isn't bad at all! Actually if they stayed exactly on this pace they would wind up either 12-4 or 11-5.
