I wish someone would do an interview with Anquan Boldin.... havent heard much all year.. hope he dosent feel left out
He and the WRs weren't happy after the Pats game(understandably so) but considering he's having a Pro Bowl season, I don't think he feels left out.

I bet Harrison is crying about his fine. Any soundbites yet?
I doubt it. But I hope he appeals it. In fact, I hope players start hiring lawyers.

I think Harrison got ripped off. Niether one of his hits were as flagrant as Brandon Meriweather's.

Can someone tell me why Cody is spending a lot of time on the bench?

And how much longer until Kruger comes back? He played damn well against the Steelers...the future is:

NGATA CODY KRUGER

Thank you. You have no idea how nice it is to find objective fans of our arch rivals. And there ARE a number of you in here.

Kudos.

This is Harrison's second offense, that's probably why it's more.

Besides, if Ray Lewis can get fined $25,000 for hitting Ochocinco, who gets up immediately after the play, then Harrison can get fined $75,000 for knocking two guys out.

I usually agree with you, as you've noticed the last couple of days, but I gotta disagree here. He put himself in this situation with his post-game comments.

I'm not sure if he meant it or not, but you've got be smarter than that.

James Harrison simply said what most other defensive players in the NFL think. They want to hit people HARD! Ray Lewis doesnt get that fired up thinking about hugging someone to the ground. I think James Harrison and Dunta Robinson were both making good tackles. Watch the videos in slo-mo and it makes it clearer. Meriweather on the other hand, WANTED to give Heap a concussion. He leaped through the air, leading with his helmet and he AIMED for Heap's head. Meriweather knew what he was doing whereas the other two players that were fined yesterday were trying to make big plays.

I agree with you but it's James Harrison. Rodney probably would've said the same thing during his career though and he was fined quite a lot for some of his hits.

I think he worded it poorly, but I'm sure he meant to echo the age old, "this is my territory and if you come over here you're going to get hit."

My only beef is the lack of a consistent pass rush.
That would be named Jarret Johnson. The guy has not played well in any game this season. Missing tackles, looks slow, and no strength, and all around average player. He needs to get back to dominating.

even if its because he's a 'repeat offender' its still a 70K increase from his original fine and 25K more than the other guys.

seems harsh but i geuss its a good idea to try and remove dangerous hits, got to say i thought the meriweather one was worse though

He won't. His off-season shoulder surgery is obviously affecting him. Personally, I'd like to see Ellerbe play more ILB and Jameel spell J.J. more.

EDIT: Apparently, he's also having back spasm issues.

It may seem harsh but you must remember that his first offense was his part of a three-way gang style thrashing of Vince Young where they literally turned him upside down and threw him to the turf head first.

I don't think Harrison received a fine for his hit on Cribbs, which is at it should be as that was legal. I'm sorry though, the hit on the WR Mos' was not legal. Fine deserved.

I think it is Robinson who is getting shafted. His hit was perfectly legal and within the rules.

I have a beef with the pass rush at times, but I love it when Ngata and/or Suggs get to the QB. Sometimes, it seems JJ is trying hard to get penetration, but he is not as effective as in previous seasons. Cody needs more time. His weight slows him down and he makes mental errors. A good pass rush will improve the pass defense, which has been shaky at times this season. On offense, I think that there should be more passes later in the game rather than becoming like Billick. After the Cincy game, I was hating the interceptions, but Flacco has improved alot in this area. I'm sure that he heard about the 3rd/4th down and inches from the coaches enough this week, too. Be the field general! It showed alot of heart to give hell to the coaches for punting. As for McClain, he pissed me off earlier in the week, but it's not like we can't forgive and forget here in Balto.

fair point. and yeah the robinson one is unlucky. robinson got shaken up too. i would imagine that one has come as a result of the extra attention being placed on concussions.

Yeah, it does state that both Robinson and Harrison are appealing their fines. I think Robinson should get his overturned since it was a legal hit but who knows with the NFL these days.

I know it says that the Steelers have like the #21 schedule as far as difficulty and all that but they still have to play Saints (A), Texans (H), Jets (H), NE (H) and this week Miami (A). Jets, Texans and Miami are the type of teams that the Steelers seem to have trouble with lately so I am hoping for wins from them. NE has traditionally been a sore spot for the Steelers as well but usually in a playoff situation.

Now the Jets.

Sadly they do seem to have a pretty easy schedule. They have to play NE again, at Gillette. Figure the Patriots will take that one most likely. They have the Texans, GB and Miami. All potential losses but also all home games. :( Depending on where the Steelers sit when they play them we might be forced to root for Pittsburgh. Aaarrggghhh!

The only reason people are crying is because this is not a 4-2 team. A top 5 offense and a top 5 defense we should be right there neck and neck with the Jets, who we handed there first loss too...

Yep I know all about living in that Steelers' market area. Although I do have to say that here if the Steelers do not play at the same time, they usually show the Ravens' game since it is a divisional opponent. With all of our non-primetime games at 1:00 this season though, not happening so much this year. :(

As a Steelers fan I don't like to come to this site and start trouble against Ravens fans. I luv our rivalry and look forward to the games. However I'm going to tell it like it is. Your team is absolutely horrible. There isn't one thing that excels with your team. Yes you have played a couple good games against weak opponents. The good teams in in the AFC are leaving you behind. From an outsiders point of view. It begins with the coaching and recruiting. I scratched my head at your personnel moves in the off season. Then it's the game plan. Always unimaginative and predictable. Finally it's the players. You have such talent and yet I see everyone standing around trying to put the blame on someone else. There is no fire in this teams eyes and that is starting with Flacco! The cold honest truth is - with all the amazing talent you have on this team you are just not very good. I'm sad to know that I will see some watered down version of our rivalry when we play again because I suspect with this loss today The Ravens season is all but over--Sorry

Cam is straight terrible, this whole game hinges on him. The Bills defense should have been onthe field for 8-10 min a pop trying to stop Mcgahee and Rice.
