The Crying Thread

720 posts in this topic

1. I hate all this garbage about the Steelers being so much better. I cant stand them. They are showboats and rude players who have a knack for being jerks.

2. I cant stand Rex Ryan.

3. I'm tired of people complaining about Flacco. Quit being fairweather fans!!!

4. I want Matt Stover back!!!!!

5. I am so sick of us being underrated and overlooked. We are looking really great this year, and yet its all about the NFL's divas (Steelers, Colts, Pats.) Sports analysts are far too biased.

6. I am tired of all the crap i get from people down here in Gainesville for being a Ravens fan.

7. Lastly, if i did not already say it, I HATE FAIRWEATHER FANS!

I can't wait until we play the squealers with Worthlessburger back!

I hope that Polamalu and Ward stays healthy because if we beat them in December that will be their next excuse

We need to mix it up more on the goal line teams are beginning to know we are going to run the ball when we reach the goal line

Use Housh more in the passing game.

Yeah, I am sick of that excuse too. It isn't like Roethlisberger is Joe Montana...

I want to see more Ed Dickson.
I agree because when they had him in the game a few times he was unstoppable.

True and it annoys me that we have people who are born and raised in Baltimore and are Pittsburgh fans but claim they love their city. The day we beat them I came to work I didn't even have to say anything I just looked at them and the first thing they said was yall are lucky it doesn't count because Roethisberger wasn't in.

I have a few things that make me want to cry, too:

spammers

people who don't check the existing threads before starting a new (duplicate) one

people who can't express themselves without using profanity

people who quote back inappropriate posts

the glitch that causes duplicate posts in the News forum

Thanks, feels good to vent. :th_happypills:

I'm sick of hearing the excuse from Steeler fans that we won because Ben wasn't playing, NOT because Flacco dissected that all-world defense in the last 40 seconds and made the corners look foolish, especially McFadden on that out-n-up route by Housh.

I'm sick of the media thinking that the Pats are going to embarrass our defense this game. Did they not realize how the Bills put up 20 on them? How Mark Sanchez looked like Peyton Manning against them? And then factor in that our offense is better than both of those. Our run game will keep the time of possession on our side. Cundiff, the X factor, will make Brady drive 80 yards to try to score a TD, not happening. AAAAAAAAAAAAAH I HATE THE MEDIA

Well hopefully we beat them with Big Ben later this year, or we'll never hear the end of it....

I don't know... they lost when Ben played last year, but when the Steelers missed the playoffs, I didn't hear too much of out of their fans. (At least not the ones in my neck of the woods.)

That said, if the Ravens do lose in December (or whenever) I'll whine.

I cried too, it wasn't about the Ravens. This team is not just sitting on top of AFC North but it's sitting on top of the whole Conference. The reason for the crying was I lost a job and i thought to myself how hard it was to get that last job and now how hard it will be to find my next...

Which also means your Steelers got OUT COACHED sport! Maybe they should of thought about waiting for that HOF induction for Dick, what a lame and sorry call to bring Tray Polmolive on that right side blitz. Wow Cam was all over that one lmao! And further more you just worry about the Browns, you all did have trouble with them last year didn't ya lol
It was a terrible call to blitz Polamalu at the end of the game with 30 seconds left inside the 20 yard line there. He is the Steelers best cover guy and while Heap did a great job picking up the blitz there Polamalu has got to be back in coverage there in that situation and help out McFadden. The turning point in that game was when the Steelers got the ball at the Ravens 37 and 24 yard lines in the 3rd quarter on 2 turnovers and failed to get any points out of it both times. Charlie Batch has got to put one of those turnovers in the end zone, and Jeff Reed simply cannot miss 2 FGS in that situation. You have got to take full advantage of opportunities like that when they get presented to you and the Steelers failed to do so. They let the Ravens off the hook both of those turnovers and it came back to bite them in the *** big time...

I hate it when people introduce a ridiculous topic, yet they never return for the argument. If you're gonna bring up something, at least show up and stand for it. Don't cower in the corner. Who knows? You might bring up a good point that may make some of us rethink our opinions.

True in a sense but the way that stadium is built that end of yall field is like a wind tunnel even our kicker had trouble when we had to kick on that end of the field. Yall just got into field goal territory at the wrong time when yall had possession going in that direction we were fortunate to get the rest of ours going the opposite way.

Still no excuse for Jeff Reed missing both of those kicks. He has been kicking in that stadium now for over 8 years and should know better then anybody how to handle kicking into the wind on the open end of the stadium. Ill give Reed a pass on the 49 yard FG miss because it was on target and hit the post, but there was no excuse what so ever for him shanking the 45 yarder as bad as he did. He did the samething the first game against Atlanta too missing a 40 yarder into the open end at the end of the game and the temperature was nearly 80 degrees that day.

We missed a very makeable FG too...thats just how it is; either you execute or you dont.
True you did but the Ravens FG miss by Cundiff was early on in the game and the Ravens had plenty of time to overcome that miss and not make it a deciding factor in the game. Everybody on here knows there is a big difference in a kicker missing a FG on the opening possession of the game then there is when they miss one or two late in the 3rd quarter or anytime in the 4th quarter when the game is more on the line like Reed did for the Steelers against the Ravens.

Fly, your initial complaint was about the Steelers being ranked ahead of the Ravens in the power rankings right?
First of all, I don't put too much stock in them but I think I know why they were ranked ahead and you said it yourself: We're getting Ben back. You may have injuries too, but they're not coming back this week. We just went head-to-head and lost by only 3 without Ben. In that regard it makes sense. But again, who really cares about power rankings???

Sorry, I don't "know" that. Points are points. Unless you are saying that a FG in the 3rd and 4th quarter are worth more points, then one from the 1st? Actually, either missed FG was a deciding factor. Had either one made it at any point in the game then we would have gone to overtime. I am not following your logic (or lack there of)

This is a crying thread. There doesn't have to be logic. If someone wants to cry about missed field goals, that's okay here.

I know what you're saying...for this upcoming week you'll have ben and we wont have our guys, therefore that is what the reasoning is. That would be fine, if it weren't for the fact that it was the same story the PREVIOUS week also...right after we beat pittsburgh, we were ranked sixth and pitts was number one.

My beef isnt so much with the power rankings as it is that they are constantly shizzing on us :grr:
'the jets beat themselves'...'pitts would have won with roethlisberger'...stuff like that is just non stop!

And I'm disappointed....not one 'call the waah-mbulance' remark from BloodRaven the entire thread!
:D
