Bills, Panthers, 49ers

21 posts in this topic

Since i live in rochester east of buffalo everyone here is always sad. I don't know if it's the qb or the O line for the bills. Panthers just keeps turning it over all the time. 49ers I think are just having a bad year. What should these teams do to get some W in their records. Thoughts?

Didn't we say the Bills would be the worst team in the league this year?

I'll tell you what the Bills need to do. Fire their GM and get somebody that makes smart personnel decisions. O-Line has been an issue then they draft the top RB. They do not address the trenches enough. Get a smart GM, build up the lines first, then bring in the skilled positions. This is a winning GM formula.

That and a QB wouldn't hurt. Where do they get these bums from?

The Bills' O-line has been playing pretty good these last 2 games, but obviously they need to try something new..

Damn the Bills are going to have some competition for the # 1 Draft Pick next year... The 49ers & Panthers are doing a great job of keeping up with Buffalo. Never Mind the Playoff Race, the Battle for the # 1 Pick in the 2011 Draft is so much better!!

Note the sarcasm with the last part lol.

Can we at least be safe and say the Bills, Panthers and 49ers will be the 1st 3 teams picking in the 2011 Draft?

Carolina's fall has been pretty sad. Their RB corps, defensive backfield and maybe the o-line aside, their entire team just doesn't look very good right now.

He's living on a tight rope. He's not putting forth winning game plans when most the pieces are there. He might not last the season.

I don't think he is at all; I think he's perfectly fine for the season. Seriously the 49ers are the most Jekyll & Hyde team in the NFL; their offense has looked stellar at moments during the season.. better than good. Other moments they've looked terrible. They've lost 3 games by a combined total of 8 points. I think the 49ers are just having awful luck right now overall and if they could just get consistent offense they could EASILY be 3-2.

On a separate and completely random note I am going to find life quite humorous if the 49ers don't beat the Raiders next week; my lady is a die-hard 49ers fan and we're going to Charlotte to see them play the Panthers and could be looking at a 0-5 team vs. an 0-6 team. :D

The Bills are just terrible. Terrible coach, no o-line, and no QB, although Ryan hasn't been bad. They really could have used any other position besides RB in the first round. Don't get me wrong, Spiller is a promising player, but that was one of there strongest positions. Just an all out terrible franchise the last decade.

The Panthers and 49ers are very surprising. I thought the Panthers had enough talent to be a .500 team, and the 49ers looked like an automatic playoff team.

49ers were really just a "best of the worst" team. They'd make the playoffs because the division sucks but no one thought they had a shot at winning anything else. So to me they're not really that big a surprise. Frankly I expected their whole division to be 0-5 right now.

The Panthers have no offense, which was expected, and their defense lost Peppers.

The Bills just suck.

What's wrong with these teams? They're the worst. Someone's gotta be the worst.

By the way, anyone remember the 49ers being the "preseason champs" this year? Looks like the '08 Lions all over again.

Off the streets or Dunkin donuts. They don't get people who used to work as a cashier( Kurt Warner)
[/quote]

Hey, get it right, Warner was a bagger, not a cashier =P

Yep, maybe Cleveland should go to local grocery stores and find a few baggers and bring them in to compete for the QB job. That would be interesting commentary....

Rich Eisen: "We have some breaking news from Cleveland, Mike Holmgren has had enough of the QB mess and decided to bring in some new QBs... from the local area. The Browns are considering 2 Baggers in hopes of finding their new QB. Before we go to our residential expert let's bring in JLC on more... Jason how did we get to this mess and what will happen?"

Jason: "Well Rich, Mike Holmgren was disappointed that Jake Delhomme didn't do as well as he expected, between the ankle injury and Jake showing signs of the old Jake Mike knew it was time to move on. Seneca Wallace than got injured and when the Browns started rookie Colt McCoy against the Steelers Colt took a pounding and is now on IR leading to Brett Ratliff the only QB on the team."

Rich: Thanks Jason this will certainly be interesting let's take a look at the 2 QBs battling to be the new Browns QB.

John Smith 6'4 235 5.2 40 Yard Time Company: Giant

Tom Cannon 6'6 260 4.6 40 Yard Time Company: Mars

Rich: Now for more let's bring in our expert, well the only expert that would know what it's like to be a Bagger and transition to a NFL QB, none other than future Hall of Famer Kurt Warner. Kurt it's nice to talk to you again, how are you enjoying retirement and do you have any thoughts on coming back to the NFL?

Kurt Warner: (Laughs) No Rich I do not have any plans on coming back I am enjoying life outside of Football. Still waiting for that invitation to join you on NFL Network though. (laughs)

Rich: Kurt your welcome anytime to join us on NFL Network. Now what are your thoughts on these 2 potential QBs and what advice would you give them?

Warner: I like both of these guys but my personal Favorite would be Tom Cannon, he has the physical strength size to be a NFL QB and would certainly do wonders for Cleveland. If I could give them advice I would tell them to go out there and give it all you got, this may be your only chance to make it in the NFL, go and show why you should be the new QB. I would also tell them to start picking up a playbook and understanding everything and know all the plays and signals to show your commitment.

Rich: Thanks Kurt for your opinion and giving these two some great advice that certainly they should listen. Can't wait to talk to you again, enjoy retirement.

Kurt: Thanks Rich for having me and I wish both QBs luck on the job.

Ok Now I just hi jacked the thread but I couldn't help doing that... just having fun.

So who wants the # 1 Pick more, Buffalo, Carolina or San Fran?

If the defense was playing better I would say no but given the circumstance that overall they arent a good team, i would say he's outta here.

Kind of reminds me of the Lions. And Brett Favre, come to think of it!

Will eventually, at the minimum, get 3 wins. The run game is what will win any games for them. Im kinda shocked that the Panthers havent tried to make a move for Vincent Jackson.

Altohugh Buccaneers were looking like this by Week5 and now this seaosn, look at them.

They're not going anywhere this year. Why trade away draft picks(which they need to retool) for a big-time WR?

Why not give a young and maybe future franchise QB Jimmy Clausen a big time WR like VJax? Along with a healthy veteran, Steve Smith who could work the slot.

Again, considering what they'd have to give up(some high draft picks) and pay Jackson, it just wouldn't make sense.

And if Smith is in the slot, whose on the outside?
