For real? I don't know if you've noticed, but I sure have noticed that teams avoid Suggs when they run the ball.
[/quote]
Not only that, but Redding's sack Sunday was directly attributed to Suggs toying with Clady and forcing Orton to step up.

Suggs is beating people around the edge this year with more frequency than Ive seen since 2006. And 2006 I attributed to the crazy blitz packages Rex had, not winning 1 on 1 matchups. Suggs is winning 1 on 1 matchups this year in the pass rush at a ridiculous rate.

I'm so stoked. I can't wait for this game, it will be interesting. Can the Patriots get revenge for their embarrassing playoff loss we handed them last year or can Baltimore continue to dominate teams and chalk up another victory?

Also on a side note... like some have mentioned that we have beat the teams we needed to beat when it comes to helping with the AFC Playoffs, Jets... win. Steelers... win. Pretty much when you look at things, if we beat the Patriots on Sunday we get a step closer to locking up Home Field Advantage throughout the playoffs and being the # 1 Seed! This is exciting to know that we beat the teams we have needed to beat for tie-breakers and that we could be the # 1 Seed in the AFC if we keep winning.

Well, the way I see it, I dont want it to come down to tiebreakers. A lot of us here (myself included) predicted a 13-3 record for this season...if we can reach that goal, tiebreakers shouldn't even be necessary, because the way it looks, we'd be the only 13-3 team out there.

After we ball up the Bradies this weekend, I wonder what excuse ESPN is going to come up with for not giving us #1 on their power rankings this week :D

That was a great play, just a beautiful swim move. He sure had Clady thinking that is for sure, didn't know which way he was going.

Motivation for the Ravens to get a little respect?

Look at the Boston area Patriots coverage, there is almost no mention of the Ravens coming to play. It's all about Moss and Brady getting into an argument about Brady's hair, and Moss going to the Vikings. Barely mention of the Ravens, who ended the prima-donna Patsie season last year with a stomping. One article I did see about the game, the word Ravens was not even mentioned in the body of the article, not once. Bellichek was quoted as referring to the Ravens as "that team".

Look in the B'more media, and everyone here at least respects the Patriots as a quality team, and acknowledges it will be a tough match. Any such return or respect? Not.

I hope the Ravens give "that team" another round of punishment up there on their home field. Maybe then they will at least call the Ravens by name.

John Harbaugh may need to bust out the "what's our name" speech again

Exactly, I think the numbers will still come for him in time. He is playing very well.

FOXBORO - Bill Belichick met with the media on Wednesday and praised Sunday's opponent, calling the Ravens "a complete football team." Perhaps his highest praise, however, came for Baltimore linebacker Ray Lewis, who is still performing at an All-Pro level in his 15th NFL season. For the second straight week, the Baltimore Ravens are No. 1, the New York Jets are No. 2, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are No. 3 in WEEI’s NFL Power Rankings. The Ravens have three big road wins, two against divisional opponents, and they look like the most complete team in the NFL.

We're definitely deep into the Ravens this week. As usual, [they're] a real good football team. Coach [John] Harbaugh has done a real nice job with them. They're strong in every area: good in the kicking game, good on defense, good on offense. They cause you a lot of problems and they execute very well. They're a tough football team. They play hard. They make you earn everything. We're just going to have to do a lot better job than we did against them last year in the playoff game to be competitive. So I hope we can do that on Sunday.

It should be interesting to watch the defense play now that we don't have to double up on Moss. We can now take the extra attention that would be on Moss and use it on Welker, force the other players like Tate, Hernandez and the running game to step up. I bet the defense could not be happier that they do not have to game plan for both Moss and Welker anymore.

Our coaches are going to make sure our players don't feel any more comfortable about this game now that Moss is gone. When we beat them in the playoffs, Brady didn't have his safety valve: Wes Welker. And Aaron Hernandez is looking like Antonio Gates Jr., and we all know what Gates does to our LB corps: completely embarrasses them. Not to say that Hernandez will do the same, but we need to keep his impact to a minimum. I believe we can completely shut down their running game, and it will be up to us getting pressure with 3-4 man rushes because we are definitely going to need solid coverage to keep Welker and Hernandez at bay.

Our offense shouldn't have too much a problem carving up this defense, and TOP should definitely be on our side. In fact, we should milk it as much as possible to keep their offense off the field.

I'm predicting 27-13 Ravens

Where's the influx of Pats fans?
Does anyone know if they ever come over to this board and talk about the game?

Nope.

It's a shame, Pats fans are the most knowledgeable fans out there.

Most of them were so obnoxious last year that they got banned. They couldn't seem to grasp the concepts of "civility" and "no smack".

Usually Thursdays are the days opposing fans really start to show up. I'm sure we'll get some today.

Ravens have the potential to win this matchup.
Obviously, our secondary has to play a very good game.
I am not willing to say we need turnovers and sacks to win, but it would be very nice.

It was good to see Fabian step up his game against denver. I think he just improved by 50 percent.(my guess)
Perhaps, he is over his uncertainty of his recovery and has his confidence back.

Mason has added another dimension to his game.
He is drawing penalties from the defense and doing it intentionaly.
He faked a hold or threw drama into it to get a penalty in the Steelers game.
In the Denver game he got the penalty in the end zone by stopping his run and acting like he was making a play on the football so the defender would run into him and the Ravens would get the penalty in the end zone.

Mason may be getting old but he is getting wiser and he is making that extra effort.

I don't think Flacco will throw interceptions in this game since excluding the Cincinati game he has throw 1 interception every 2 games.

That Cincinati game really throws the Ravens stats out of wack.

This week, I'm pretty sure Bilichik will go for his best to stop Rice and make Joe beat him. He will state can Joe repeat his performance against the Steelers?

It'll be a big day for Joe and Boldin. I hope Joe steps up his game and play smart.

Pats pass defense is not that great, and I expect score will be 31-20.

He can try and stop Rice, but then we run McGahee or McClain. Besides it must be tiring to try and stop Rice all day. They may succeed for a quarter or a half, but eventually he will get through. It is hard to stop our running game.

I don't think the Pats can hang with the Ravens, the Pats D is awful and the Ravens D is great , look at who the Pats beat - the Bills, Bengals, Dolphins. The Dolphins fell apart in the 2nd half, the Bengals Carson Palmer has been awful all season and the Bill plain Stink but came close to beating the Pats.

Ravens 35 Pats 17

After listening to al the sports people i tend to think it would be good for Flacco to try and pass ,it seems that Patriots secondary are young and we could get plenty of them holding or pass interference calls or better yet TD. I would run like the wind and try and mix it up but if open down the field Joe needs to take it. I think bolden has a good game.
