Who To Drop And Who To Pick Up?

12 posts in this topic

I'm in 12 team PPR league.

I'm fed up with these guys due to their lack of performance and grim potential.

Is it safe to drop these guys? (People in my league aren't willing to trade for them)

1) Cadillac Williams - (Didn't impress early and will be in RB committee. I think his best days are behind him.)
2) Justin Forsett - (Probably going to lose starting job with Marshawn Lynch in town and also too many mouth to feed.)
3) Jacoby Jones - (His stock is dropping due to a bad calf and K. Walter earning his money)

Who's good to pick up? (any position will help)

1) Danny Woodhead (I have a feeling the Pats are going to use this guy as a weapon with Moss out of the way)
2) Michael Bush (He got dropped by a team and I'm waiting to see if he pass waiver, also I got McFadden)
3) Mike Williams -TB (I don't like the offense in TB, but clearly the guy is a play-maker)
4) Tony Moeaki (KC's leading target and receiver, but KC is a run first team.)

Any advices will help.

Mike Williams and Micheal Bush are worth picking up. Especially Mike Williams. I would drop Jacoby Jones for M Williams in a heart beat.

Still too early to give up on Caddy. He has faced some stout run D's. But I would probably cut Forsett for Micheal Bush as M Bush is the better backup and has fragile McFadden ahead of him.

I'm a fan of Moeaki. But depending on who else you can cut, I wouldn't add him just yet.

Bush is going to get a good number of touches until McFadden returns. Williams is TB's best offensive weapon and they get him the ball.

I'd consider dropping Cadillac for Moeaki depending on who you're starting TE is.

Here's my current team:

QB: Flacco
WR: Jennings, S. Moss, D. Amendola, M. Wallace, J. Jones
RB: Gore, PT, McFadden, Torain, Cadillac, Forsett
TE: Gates

I'd definitely pick up Bush and Williams then; you don't need Moeaki.

What's the knock on Woodhead?

The guy already produced two TDs in just two games active with the Pats.

There's no knock on him. I just don't see him putting up good enough totals every week.

What's the back-up plan, if I don't get Bush, since he's on waiver. I spent my waiver #1 on Torain. Bush was dropped after the waiver pick-up.

Do you guys think Danny Woodhead is a good pick, if I fail to get Bush?

What? Torain is out there too. I'd go with:

Torain
Bush
Woodhead

Not down on Woodhead but he's just a gadget guy. Too much feast and famine for my liking.

You don't need Moeaki. He'll just warm your bench while you start Gates every week. Even if you have a flex.

I would seriously pick up M Williams and drop Jacoby. That is a #1 guys who gets consistent targets over a #3 option. I'm high on Torain. I think Portis ends up on IR and we never see him again.

I already got Torain with the earlier waiver. Bush is still out there on waiver for another day.

Oh I missed it. I see. You said you used your priority on Torain. Then go for Williams first and Bush as your second priority.

But I wouldn't drop either Caddy or Forsett for Woodhead right now.
