Two reasons why our rushing ypc ranks in the 30's:

1 No Gaither at tackle.

2 (because of Gaither's absence) We're starting Chris Chester at guard in a power blocking scheme when he's more suited to a zone scheme.

Agree with both but especially with the bolded one. We miss Yanda as a guard in the running game. It makes running between the tackles more difficult when we have the smaller Chester at RG.

He must be referring to early last year. There were a few times I thought the same thing. He had one very early on where he let a guy run him out of bounds at like the 3 or something. I remember thinking at the time that he could have gotten in. I certainly don't think he makes a habit of it.

I did notice on NFL Replay that the one nice run he had up the middle Troy whiffed on the tackle. Nice!
How long have we waited to see Rice or Boldin jack up Troy and/or Ray lay out Hines? Some day....some day.....
