13+ Wins?

44 posts in this topic

two weeks ago there where guys who wanted to bench our franchise qb and fire our offensive coordinator.the season seemed to be over for us at that poin by the meaning of some people. now we are talking about a season with 12 or more wins where we have one of the toughest shedule of the last 5 years. i have to say it is much better for everybody when we go game after game and week after week. we can have the goal reaching the playoffs and all of that . there is nothing against those discussions but we shouldn´t get too excited...a lolng long way to go still

That's the beauty of us being the fans, we can talk about benching a QB or letting a coach go. Putting up 13 wins in a season or whatever we want to talk about, of course the most logical way to think about it and go about it, is the "one game at a time" method. But that's what the players are doing for us, and besides this makes for good chat and opinions. Picking each others brains on here and just having a good time talking about the team we love. All in fun and good times on here, especially this week having beat Pittsburgh in their house!!!

Not to get ahead of ourselves of course, but looking at our schedule I really think we can beat all these teams maybe win out, we got the Bengals and Steelers at home now we dont have to worry about Heinz field they both gotta worry about M & T Bank stadium.

Week 13, If we got the Steelers coming into our stadium as a 10-1 Baltimore team (with reed back) that stadium is gonna be absolutely nuts. By the way its a sunday nighter.

We might not even need the week 17 game vs cinci but i'd like to win that one anyway.

No reason why our Ravens shouldnt be atleast 12-4 or 13-3 by the end of the year.

Calm down. Let's win our next game first. :34853_shakehead:

I don't know.
I hope we can pull off 13 wins, but it's too early yo tell.
Anything can happen.
First we need to get over the Broncos, which I think we will.

These are the games I'd be weary about, right now, (which doesn't make sense...)

Pats - Always a tough game, plus it's on the road.
Dolphins - It's a home game, but they are still a good team this year so far.
Falcons - The Falcons are a really good team this year, and we'll be coming off a very short week, as this is a Thursday Night game in Atlanta.
Steelers - Always a tough game, home field advantage or not.
Texans - Houston at home, if their team is healthy, this will be a huge challenge, even though Houston's defense is giving up a lot of points, their offense is putting up a lot.
Saints - Even though it's at home, it'll be a tough game.
Browns - We slept on them last time and almost lost at home, I think the Browns will be a good team (.500ish) at this point in the season, and it's at Cleveland.
Bengals - It's at home which is good, but when do we ever beat them?
Pats- Will be a tough game for our Defense. But our offense should put up bunch of points against the weak Patriot Defense.
Dolphins- This game will be close; QB play will dictate the outcome of this one.
Falcons- I honestly don't see why everyone is so high on this team...who have they played? No one. Until their offense beats a quality defense I still consider them unproven.
Steelers- It's the Steelers this game is gunna be close.
Texans- I'll actually be at this game because...I live in Houston. Been a Ravens fan since I was little when I used to live in B'More. But anyways I believe we win this one. NO DEFENSE AT ALL on the Texans side of the ball.
Saints- If our defense can keep playing like it is...we will win this matchup. Of course our offense will have to show up as well.
Browns- They are looking pretty good this far into the season but we dispatch the Browns with relative ease. Our offense will be in sync at this point in the season.
Bengals- Will have lost all hope in the season at this point. It was a 3 horse race...until the season started. We will win 24-10.

Way too early for that. I remember last year when we were 3-0, there were topics on if we can go 16-0. We lose 3 straight, and I remember topics titled 3-13.....

Agree! One game at a time and keep getting better, peaking during the playoffs.

One game at a time. Our offense need to stop getting Turnovers and our Defense need more takeaways.

The Falcons are doing very well this season, especially Matt Ryan. The Patriots and Dolphins provide us with a significant threat too. The Texans shouldn't be a worry, though. I expect at least 11-5 for Baltimore this season!

This one just bothers me. Hopefully my fears dissipate over the next week or so, but they have that Brady dude, and he's pretty good. God, I can't stand the Patriots...yuck!

Yes the Pats worry me too, especially after last night's smashing of Miami. That's why I said that game may be the only game we lose in the stretch before playing the Steelers again.

The Dolphins are no longer a threat anymore, not after watching last night, I don't see it. Chad Henne is going to be a good QB but I have doubts with that because even with Marshall he's not doing much. We could probably defeat Miami the way the Patriots did.

Even though we have games to worry about, I'll bet you every team that sees "Ravens" on their schedule is worried too.

I think NE might be tough for all 3 sides of the team. We know the defense might have a tough time containing Brady, but then there's also the issue that if they do stop him, they might get penalized. XD

I know the old mantra of any given Sunday, but right now, I really can't take the Dolphins seriously. I probably will when that Sunday is closer, but not yet.

Atlanta and Houston worry me. The Falcons are nigh unbeatable at home and Houston's offense has been ballin. (Okay, the real reason is that I don't want the streak of never losing to a team from Texas to end.)

When I first saw the schedule, I was happy that the Saints were coming to town during December. They are an indoor team and might have to play in cold, windy, wet, or even snowy weather and that could force them to run it. Ravens run o + Saints non-existent run d = Ravens win. Lol, but now the Ravevens have no run game and the run d has left something to be desired. Ah well, at least Flacco has a stronger arm. If the weather is bad, that could give Baltimore the edge, but who knows.

If the Saints get back to their knack of forcing turnovers like they had last year, it doesn't matter if we have started picking up yards on the ground. We have fumbled the ball too many times. If we cant stop that, and their d is up to speed it will suck for us. Especially if its rainy, snowy, slippery etc.

I'll take 4-1 by Monday.
At the start of the season I figured we should be no worse than 4-3 before the break;
and no worse than 5-4 after the break. I had us splitting w/Pitt and at worse, splitting w/ the Bungles.
AFC wins over the Jets, Broncos, Miami, Bills and of course, 2 from the Browns; and TB and Carolina.
