Best Team In NFL?

39 posts in this topic

I was watching PTI and they think we are the best team in the nfl kinda they said were in that class but strongly like us. We have two of the most impressive wins of the year at NY vs Jets and Us going to Pittsburgh. I have to agree very impressive i just hope us stopping the jets The way we did was on us and not them.

Going to Pittsburgh is impressive even if they don't have Big Ben due to that fact of our rivalry but we didn't have Reed and our Rb's were banged up good so ill take these wins as impressive and i think we have a lot to go on and we will keep getting better Joe showed us a lot yesterday.

I think we are one of the best teams but I think since Ben is back for Pittsburgh they might be. I'll have to wait and see I guess but it really doesn't matter these ranking are just for fun.

IMO, the game in Cleveland is just what the Ravens needed.

Pittsburgh was a great show of the offense & defense complimenting one another & stepping up when the other needed them to. The defense went out, got the ball back for the offense. The offense went up the field and scored the game winning TD and to top it off, the defense stopped the Steelers' final drive.

The Ravens are really gelling now; the rest of the season should be interesting to watch.

Congradulations for your victory against Pittsburgh: Don't let it go to your head. You just barely beat a 4th string QB.

Umad?

Your excuses sure are funny. Injuries happen in football. We were down 2 of our star players as well, in case you forgot.

They're not all as nice as Warden, Prophet, and the other fans that came to (actually) congratulate us. Never thought I would see smack-talking AFTER we won on the road. Strange.

Look to the sky for the 3 best teams: the Ravens, Falcons and Jets!! :batteur-musicien: The Saints are doing great too, losing only to the Falcons.

Now since we already beat the steelers and jests, doesnt that by default put us on top of the big 3???,,,,

Well lets not go all crazy. Being the best team for 4 games doesn't mean anything. Injuries can always happen and crazy stuff can always happen so it is too early to declare any team to be the best team in the NFL.

That being said. We beat the Jets at home, who are proving to be a very good team. And the Steelers at home when they were a hot team in the NFL. Personally I don't care if people say "well you beat a 4th stringer blah blah blah". The Espn polls still had the Steelers at number one, and the steelers still beat a bunch of good teams so I don't want to hear it.

I think the important thing for this game was the progression and maturity of Flacco. Far more important than where we are in the power rankings at this point. We will go where Flacco's progress takes us
I haven't seen the power rankings yet and this is not about them just saying what PTI said about us. I do think it is to early to care what we are ranked right now. We need to worry about us and keep getting better. And you are right we are only gonna go as far as Flacco takes us.

The weapons sure have been helping Joe that is for sure, considering our lack of success running the football.

No clear cut team like the Colts or Saints like last year. In the NFC, the Packers were the consensus favorite, even for wining the Superbowl in the off season, but they looked highly undisciplined against the Bears on MNF and gave up many points to the Lions. And the Saints aren't looking so sharp either there last previous match-ups at home.

The AFC has three of the best defensive teams--Ravens, Jets, and Steelers who all have a legitimate chance at being the best in the conference because they're playing at a high level. I'd say wait till week 8 before any team can be a clearly ahead of the pack.

Too early to have a clear cut favorite. I'd say us, the Jets, and Steelers are in a 3-way tie as of right now.

Mike Tomlin did not appear to be to happy after the game. When Ben comes back it's going to be shoot out show down....
Who cares whether Tomlin wasn't happy after the game. He talked about "raising hell" last year and look what happened.

Two things the NFL has stressed in the modern era of big corporate tv, instantaneous communications and reality thrills; (1) Passing Offense and (2) Team Parity. It is with this in mind that the NFL has been ultra successful at what it set out to do. Maximize long-term interest by creating a league of equals. Nothing drives down revenue faster than dominant teams. Just ask baseball.

Revenue sharing as a concept is inevitable when you have dominant teams around. So the NFL, if it is successful at what it has set out to do (maximize revenues), will never again allow a "best team in the league" to exist. At least not long enough to hurt their all mighty dollar.

That film looks like it compares to the Steelers 2-3 (2 wins were by a combined 4 points) 2009 December pretty well..

That was better than any way I could've put it, and people always compliment me on my writing. Kudos for that explanation!

If only our organization wasn't so good at keeping its star QB from getting suspended, then we'd have an excuse for losing in week 4! Brilliant!

4th string or starting QB, they don't play defense genius! That's what is so funny about these Steeler fans, they are all riding high at 3-0 and they got it done with out Ben and got it with 2nd/3rd/4th string QBs. Now all of a sudden they lose and it's because there was a 4th string QB lmao. You Pittsburgh fans need to pick an excuse and ride with it, don't keep flip flopping your excuses. Point blank, your "HOF DEFENSIVE CORD" got out coached by Cam, especially on that last play. I know it must hurt that Cam knew ol Dick was going to blitz Tracy Polmolive, and that knife hurt watching TJ catch your losing TD catch. Just accept it and GOOD LUCK December 5th, Ben or not the Stelers will need it. Now HOUSH your daddy Pittsburgh????
