last week i was dissapointed of our inability to get turnovers/get sacks.

this week im commending our defense, we were in their face alot, got some sacks, and played a great defensive game.

Two sacks, a ton of QB pressures/hits, held their RB to 3.2 ypc, and the first INT of the season? A decent outing, pretty freakin' good against a strong and conservative team like Pittsburgh.

Charlie Batch and Rashard Mendenhall were obviously rattled and the D held them in check. That's more important to me than pretty statistics.

That said, they should have a ton of chances for sacks/INTs with the pass-happy Broncos coming into Baltimore.

He got in for some snaps late in the game and flashed the raw talent we saw against the Panthers.

don´t panic. he will get his shots that´s for sure. remember last year and the webb situation. harbs is taking it slow with the rookies. they see the field if they are ready to compete and be a factor. if he thinks cody is ready the big fella will play a lot! they had a reason drafting him...

Cody looked a man among boys on every play I saw him in there. I hope we don't try to slim him down too much to make him a factor on 3rd down. If he's gonna push the guard back 3 feet before the back has the ball I could care less if he sits on third down.

Generating turnovers has been an issue for the ravens defense all season and has been discussed in these forums before. We were -1 in the steelers game so that makes us -7 for the season and near, if not, the bottom of the league. The ravens defense is playing well, don't get me wrong but a turnover or two helps ice a game alot quicker. We've won by 1, 7, and 3. All of which could have been a loss if a couple things bounce the other way. Generating turnovers is a key way to control a game and win comfortably.
