I chose Wigginton. He was second in HR,first in RBI.
I just think he pulled through for this team.He was versatile to play any position in the infield.Saved Josh Bell form at least 5 errors that I saw(3 in one series with Texas).Filled in for B-Rob pretty nicely. Is he stellar in fielding? No.But he did make some great plays. My issue with him were the double plays.I really will hate to see him go if he does, but I understand the nature of the business. Can't keep someone who is your favorite.
Luke and Nick are also great candidates, seeing as how Luke won.But my vote would have went to Ty.

I also went with Ty. Does anyone know contract statuses on the players, I know we just signed Markakis and Roberts to new contracts and I'm trying to figure out when Adam Jones contract is up, because he should be the next Orioles player to get a new long term contract or Wigginton.

While I'm at it, anyone have a full list of players who will be a Free Agent in the off-season? I know of Adam Dunn is one major player, but I would like to see who else is out there when it comes to major FA acquisitions the O's can pick up. I'm hoping they either pick up Dunn or trade for Prince Fielder.

Anyone making predictions for the 2011 season?

Honestly, I expect the Orioles to perform the same as they did this season.

don't think the list will be available to after the postseason but for us we have 7 FA.
Ty Wigginton
Julio Lugo
Corey Patterson
Kevin Milwood
Mark Hendrickson
Cesar Izturis
Koji Uehara

when they release it I'll post the free agency list

To me the only person who should get a long term deal, around 4-6 years is Wigginton. Hopefully Buck keeps him around and pays him to stay a Oriole for the next several years, like I said 4-6 years would be great.

I love Wiggy but where would he be placed? Will they continue the Josh Bell project? Are they looking for that big batted first baseman? It will be nice to see where they go with him if they resign.

I voted for Luke but you put together a good list of possible candidates.

As for the upcoming free agents, I find it hard for Wiggy to stay in Baltimore. Although, I'd sure as hell love to see him again in a Orioles jersey. As for the rest of the free agents, I'd like to see both Koji and Izturis re-signed. Koji was in great pace during the Showalter era but he has to be less aggressive sometimes and throw some balls. Izturis is a guy I always appreciated and nobody can deny he is a master of the fielding game.

When I look back at this season I just want to cry. Of course there is no crying in baseball, so I am just bewildered. Millwood, you should give your check back! All the talk of how our young pitchers were right there and we looked to you to help them. I voted for Luke because he has been a constant for us. Wiggy really surprised me and made it a tough call, good job my man! The one thing that kills me is when the free agent signing begins, Baltimore is going to be a tough sell. I think our future is with the youth, but I must say Buck saved us from being the worst team in baseball, and that has to mean something. Still love my O's no matter what!!!

And for MVP I would go Luke Scott. Wiggy wasnt consistent enough at the plate in the 2nd half to get my vote and Markakis' power numbers were way down.

Actually, can I change that to Buck Showalter? :)
