Oh yeah, the game...

Comes down to our offense verse their defense and their offense verse our defense. We win, big. Tried to bet a buddy of mine who's a Broncos fan, he thinks they lose by 13 or more too.

I think one of our writers has already mentioned this, but McDaniels is still caught up in the Titans game while Harbaugh and the rest of our squad have moved on.

I want to see more out of the rookie TE's.
[/quote]

I'd like to see them more too but that would come at the expense of Heap and T.J. who are are better targets at this point.

NE is having some nice sucess with rookie TEs I think. Maybe we can get a little separation in the game and get these guys a few more snaps. But you're right, Joe needs to be completely in sync with TJ first.

The only factors I see are tired our players are after the Pits game.
Because if our O-line lets up then we are not going keep our QB scrambling.
Our D and O-line have to be ready to play on Sunday or we maybe on the latter part of this discussion..

Hernandez and The Gronk are talented players but when you have Brady, you can pretty much plug in anyone and they'll make an impact.

I still see Sizzle having a good game because he will not be matched up with Clady the whole time. I've noticed we have been moving him around this year more than last. He has taking a decent amount of snaps going up against the RT.

I have it at 38-13 Ravens.
Our offense is hungry, and will feast on Denver's porous defense. People seem to be forgetting how much talent we have on offense. They are really starting to gel, as we saw on Sunday, and we all know it is just a matter of time before they put it all together and start to dominate. This is the week it happens.

Maybe it's just me, but McDaniels seems to be a little bit...strange.

I see an article about how the Ravens have moved on, but it doesn't say anything about McD. Maybe you saw a different article.

Can I ask why you guys think you will kill us? I understand you did last year, and you are at home. But I just don't see another blowout this year.

You make it sound like our defense sucks. It has held us in the game in all of them. Our defense is a bright spot, our run stopping defense has been excellent and we've faced MJD and CJ - no TDs or 100 yard performances.

Yes, we are one only a "passing" team at the moment, but that didn't stop us against a good Titans team. You guys are better, granted, however, we should have Knowshon Moreno back and that will help.

I really don't see a blowout, a Ravens victory is definitely very possible, but I think we have a much better chance at winning then you guys are giving us credit for.

Still don't know who I like in this game quiet yet, you have owned us recently, so I am leaning towards you guys, but I will wait to see our injury report.

Don't get me started, not a fan of the dude (McD) at all.

What he meant I think is that the Titans were playing extremely "dirty" last week, punching Kuper when his helmet was off and starting a lot of crap after the play. Calling our WR's who had just owned them "powderpuffs" and more.

McD on his monday addressed the "dirtiness" of the Titans, but I am sure he has moved on, and is 100% focused on the Ravens, even though his wife just gave birth recently.

Trading for Orton looked like pure genius last season, but then there's everything else. He amuses me though because I never know what he's going to do next.

Congrats to him. Boy or girl?

Girl I think, sorry I forget for sure.

McD has his flashes of brilliance. He is a pure offensive genius when it comes to the air game. However, he destroyed a team that ALWAYS had success running, no matter who was behind the line. His play calling makes you want to kill yourself at times.

So far I give him a C-. More bad moves then good, more bad plays calls than good. But his passing offense, Orton - make him a "little" better in my book.

McDaniels always seems to make headlines, but I respect that he sticks up for what he believes in and it's clear that he knows the game of football. He wants to build a team rather than a collection of selfish indidviduals. I won't bother you with arguing about McDaniels, because we do enough of that on the Broncos forum.

Anyways to the poster who claims the Ravens should put up 38, because the Bronco's have a "pourous defense" clearly does not know much about the team. As the other Broncos poster put, the defense (especially the run D) has been impressive this year. The only complaint I have about the unit is that we are not putting enough preasure on the QB. That is the main reason we could not shut down Manning in the second half. Our coverage is elite as we have Bailey, Dawkins, and Goodman and a very good rookie corner in Cox.

I'm more confident heading into this game this year then I was last year simply because Orton looks like a completely different QB. Last year our offense was painful to watch at times as Orton never took any chances downfield. This year he leads the league in passes over 20 yeards and 40 yards.

Although I believe that the Ravens are the better team, I think it will be a very close game. The Ravens cannot take Denver lighty. I feel a lot of people perceive Denver to be bad because of the shocking moves that McD has made. The media always tries to make him look like an idiot, but if you hear him speak, it's clear that he is a confident leader who has an immense knowledge of the game.

With that said, the Ravens should be favored in this game. But to make statements about how the Denver D is awful comes off as an ignorant. This game will be close and not the cakewalk that many of you have projected.

I think it will be a blowout for a lot of reasons.

First reason is, I don't think your offense will be effective at all against our defense. I see no matchups on offense that favor the Broncos; the only possible exception is Lloyd/Washington, although if it is Lloyd/Carr I think he'll be negated too.

Second reason is that when I compare the two offenses and review each position, there is honestly not one single player that I feel Denver is better than us, other than RG and RT (Gaither is going to miss this game to, else I would have said just RG).
Speaking of our offense, as I said earlier, it is really starting to hit it's stride. Which is scary, for any defense. How is Denver going to contain Boldin, Mason, Houshmandzedah, Heap AND Rice? Simply put, they're not. Especially not when your best pass rusher is hurt and not playing. How does Denver plan on stopping McGahee in the red zone? I truly believe if we swapped schedules for the first month of the season, Baltimore would probably be leading the NFL in nearly every relevant offensive statistic, and Denver would be in the lower third, somewhere around 20th. After playing 3 of last year's top 5 defenses in the first month of the season, our offense is licking it's chops knowing they're not just going up against a middle of the road defense, they're facing a middle of the road defense minus it's best pass rusher and a starting CB. Flacco is going to shred that defense, so will Rice, so this game will turn into a shootout. And I'm sorry, until it happens, no one will convince me that Kyle Orton, Eddie Royal and Brandon Lloyd will rip our defense apart.

The only way I see Denver winning this would be for them to beat us on the ground, and force some turnovers, because I will take Flacco/Boldin/Mason/Housh/Heap over Orton/Royal/Lloyd/et al any day of the week. And that scenario is very unlikely, given Denver's problems running and our normally stout run defense.

Oh, and we're at home.

Are you serious? K. Orton has 4 very good WR that can make plays down the field. To take them lightly is a big mistake. Orton has passed for more than 350 yards the past 3 games because of the great WR play of Royal, Lloyd, Thomas and Gafney. This will be the first real test for the Ravens secondary. If they Ravens do not get any pressure on Orton he will have a field day. Your looking at a 28-31 score if not more easily.

Like they say, that's why we play the game. Doesn't matter what I think or you think, we'll find out Sunday and then there wont be any questions.

Just an FYI, I have a lot of respect for McDaniels. He is a no bull**** type of guy, and I like that. And I certainly don't think that Denver is some bum team. I just made my own Power Rankings for this week, and I put Denver at number 11 overall. That is an awful lot of respect for a .500 team!

Yeah, but he got sacked around 6 times and hit 12 other times and had 50+ attempts! Our guys should be salivating.... boy do we miss Reed though.

Heh, he's just like Cutler!! I hope and expect a great win for the Ravens: 31-21. Cutler, I mean Orton will throw a lot of longshot TD passes but his offense will struggle to run once they have the ball. But Flacco will kick Orton to the curb with a stellar performance! :argdancingravensblueonwkk8:
