the difference is, we've been the best defense in the league for the past decade against all comers. We'd be #1 regardless of the competition.
After this game, we'll see if denver can hang with the big boys.

Umm, let's not overlook this either:

Jets 25th Passing
Bengals 6th Passing
Browns 22nd Passing
Steelers 31st Passing

Broncos #1 Passing....

That being said it will be a better game than last year.

This. Another reason why this will be a battle. People seem to forget that we've faced back to back backups and prefer to beat their chests instead.

Anybody who thinks this is a "trap" game is joking themselves. We are 3-1, Broncos 2-2.

Let's also not forget that the Broncos Run Offense has stunk because they are without their feature back for the last two games. They've had to trot out Maroney. That probably won't be the case this week.

We have yet to lose an upset in the Harbaugh era.
[/quote]

I really don't understand why we are taking the Broncos lightly. How would it be an upset if we lose to the Broncos. They do not have a losing record and have faced some tough competition in the Colts and Titans.

I don't like sticking up for the Broncos, but man we give them no credit on here.

I am looking forward to this game as a Bronco fan as it will really tell us a lot about the team we have. Ravens are the real deal, don't get me wrong. I know they have had one of, if not the best defense in the league on a consistent basis year in and year out and this will go a long way in measuring where the Broncos stand.

That being said, we need to get some sort of running game established. Hopefully Moreno will be back in the line up but even when he has been, the running game has been less than stellar. I look for the Broncos to utilize some of the short dump basis basically as runs to keep the Ravens defense honest.

Hoping for a good, injury free game! Best of luck and Go Broncos!!!

Some people on this board thought the Bengals were going to be a blowout, too  I still cannot believe I was blasting for even suggesting that the Bengals would be a tough game..

You're right, though, the Broncos are a lot better than some give them credit for. Their passing offense is legitimate, they may pass a lot but that's because they can. Kyle Orton has shown big-play ability and come through in the clutch. He's making his case at a Pro Bowl bid.

It's going to be a tough test. I'm glad I'm going to be there for it!

you're right, i should give them more credit than I have been. The marshmallow defenses aside, denver still has to go out and execute the plays.
We can all agree that a 4 game sample is too small to call anyone the best of anything. Because of that, one good/bad game out of 4 has a hugely disproportionate effect on the rankings, so one could argue that a big reason why the broncos opponents are ranked so low is in part because of what denver did to them.

All that said, it does not change my opinion that we will blow them out. We all know what flacco does to weak defenses. It is downright scary. Manning-like, dare I say.
And Orton is facing the best defense he will face all year on sunday. In their house.
I honestly have no reason to believe this game will even be close, much less believe denver has a real shot at winning.,,,,,,,,

We can agree on the fact that we both believe we should win this game. We give Flacco time we know what he can do. But I still worry that our O or D will have an off day. Still waiting for this team to fire on all cylinders on a regular basis before I feel comfortable about "blowing" out another team.

If the Broncos get someone to perform opposite Dumervil they could have the "Doom and Gloom" pass rush. :D

I want to see Suggs move around a lot more in this game to cause mis-matches. If he lines up opposite Clady for the entire game he'll be severely limited.

Elvis Dumervil is on IR

And I agree with moving Suggs around. We need to get our best pass-rusher on some mismatches.

Yeah if he has to go up against Clady all day long our pass rush could suffer a bit.

I must say with watching that Phins-Pats game last night. Cameron Wake's game last night, is the type of play I want to see out of Suggs on a weekly basis. Wake wow'd me last night.

Well wait 2 more weeks when Suggs goes up against the Patriots. Then you will get to see him have that kind of game. I know you said consistent basis... but no pass rusher has a consistent season. They have big games here and there. It's very unusual for them to just have a sack a week. They normally come in bunches. We've played some very good offensive lines so far. Wait until we play Denver, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Carolina, New England, etc.

I agree. I'm just saying for the amount we are paying Suggs, I want to see him more dominant than most other OLB/hybrids on a more regular basis. He looks a lot better than last year and he's off to a good start.

But if we wanted a guy that would get you bunches here and there then Cameron Wake and his 4 year 2.31 million contract sounds much better than Suggs 6 for 67.5.

Not saying I'd want Wake over Suggs. Just saying I would love to see Suggs be that unstoppable dominant force we all know he can be. No matter who he faces.

I just love that fire I saw from him last night. It's a shame he went undrafted and had to play in the CFL for a while. I haven't seen much of him, but I loved the passion I saw last night.

But don't get me wrong, I love Suggs as well.

And funny thing is, Sizzle is my man crush. Well, him, Ngata and Flacco...I know, I get around...

Had the privillege of watching him play up here in the CFL... always stood out as a player that was travelling at twice the speed of his other CFL'ers. Didn't belong here and Im glad he found a home in Miami.

That's good to hear. Was wondering how he did in the CFL. He's almost matched his sack total from last year. I think he found his home in Miami with Porter gone.
