Hopefully this is the start of getting more involved for T.J.

I hope so too, good stuff TJ, perfect timing.

the cool thing about the touchdown was that it was actually an out route. TJ read the defense and changed his route. flacco saw it did the pump fake and made a perfect throw...that shows the true ability of our young qb!!

Dropped a key pass earlier in this game as well.

That wasn't a drop, it was defended by a Steeler (I think it was William Gay but I could be wrong) nonetheless, the Steelers DB got his arm infront of the ball perfectly. Housh had it zeroed in, but it was just a good defensive play

From my recollection, the ball hit Housh's numbers and wasn't actually deflected. Either way, nice TD to make up for it!

He yaps a bit in his presser about always wanting the ball and stuff.

Not surprising.

Personally, I think what he saw yesterday will be common this year. There will be drives, maybe even multiple series where Q, Mason or T.J. catch a few balls. Defenses will adjust and someone else will be the featured guy.

I won't give TJ props for this one because I think he was a big reason why we lost at Cincy (although I do give him some slack because it is hard to come into a game basically without any practice with a team and play for them). He made up for his mistakes. But hopefully he can maintain that success on a more consistent basis. And if he does, then we will be very successful. No team can cover Boldin, Tj, Mason, and Heap.

I agree, big props for TJ. I don't know he'll be 'happy' but he will be happier because he made a big play.
He wants more playing time and based on the closing minutes with the catches he made he will. However, he needs to catch the ball consistently or Cam will go to Q or Mase and Joe will be leeary of throwing to him. He dropped the first ball thrown to him and Joe went to Mase.

Just saw the replay of Heap lined up as the right side HB and going across Flacco to block Polamalu enabling Joe time to step into his throw to TJ. Nicely done Heeeeaaapppp!!

I think we all know what a different ball Joe throws when he can step into it.

One last thing I should mention here (more humble pie for me). I liked Clayton a lot and hated to see him go. But he doesn't make that play. That is all.

He doesn't catch the ball while wide open, or doesn't turn to the inside as opposed to out?

I'd say he doesn't do the latter.

you would swear Tj is still a bengal by the way some of us fans treat the man. i think hes done really well for the amount of time with Joe hes had.

Basically. I don't think he runs that route so successfully to get that wide open. Probably stays up the sideline incomplete. It was such a subtle move and he's also not as tall as TJ. Just a feeling I have.

TJ made a great adjustment to get open, i think he wants to be in the big picture and he will be. He just had to get warmed up a little bit and showed he can win games for us. Whosyourmomma!!!

T.J. is really begining to grasp our system and the more success he has gives Anquan more chances to continue to be the weapon we knew he was when we got him. Also, it does free up Todd for more chances to contribute than he has ever had. It's still early but Ozzie"s vision for the Ravens is sure starting to look good for all of us. :argdancingravensblueonwkk8:
