He was in there, I saw him quite a bit in the first half but didn't see him in the 2nd half. The had him lined up a few times towards the RE spot

I personally wasn't impressed by Kruger. I thought he got handled most of the game. Caused a couple of penalties, too. Hopefully he'll improve. However, I don't think it's fair to criticize him too much when his first start at DE was against the Steelers, either.

OT: I didn't see much of Cody, but once the game got going I forgot to look.

EDIT: I must have been watching a different game (or just not paying attention to Kruger). It seems like I'm the only one who didn't think he was that great. I just thought whoever was blocking him (LT for the Steelers) was doing a good job. I'll have to re-watch the game and pay more attention...I must have missed something.

I didn't take notice Cody much but the great thing is(for those who have NFLN), we'll be able to watch the game again and break it down.

I have it PVR'ed and Ive already watched the first half again. Cody was lined up at RDE a couple times and once at NT. He absolutely mauled Pouncey on one play and took him 2-3 yards back from the LOS, Pouncey didnt have a chance. Re-watching the game Gregg holds his ground, but he also gets knocked off his feet more than a few times. I have eternal love for Kelly Gregg, but I really think by week 14 Cody is going to have pushed him for the starting job. We also kicked Gregg outside to the DE spot on a few occasions, with McKinney playing NT. Kruger in the pass rush performed well I think, he was double teamed on 2 occasions(surprising for me at least) and burns Adams once on a swim move on his strip sack that was negated. Once Kruger's forward momentum is stood up, he gets knocked to the ground I wont say easily, but getting knocked to the ground isnt something you want to see. Its possible he may be getting used to his body still, but regardless you gotta stay on your feet no matter what. He almost has another sack on a time Batch scrambled but the aforementioned problem of him getting knocked to his feet prevents that and he only clips Batch's leg.

Ill continue the breakdown.

Yep he changed his number, when David Hale left number 62 was available, so I guess Cody wanted his college.

I distinctly remember the play Bltravens is refering to about Cody. It was early in the second quarter and Mendenhall tried to run up the right side. Cody took Pouncey 3 yards into the backfield and with Ngata beating RG Doug Legursky, the hole where Mendenhall was supposed to go was completely sealed up. He then kicks it outside where our linebackers meet him at the line of scrimmage for no gain.

Yessir, that is the exact play. Ray and McClain meet Mendenhall face up at the LOS just off the right shoulder of Flozell Adams.

When was Suggs sack? I don't know how I missed it.
[/quote]
On a blitz with Lewis going through the A gap, Suggs twists around the RG and Lewis for the sack shortly after Flacco had thrown the INT. It knocks the Steelers back and Reed misses a FG.
