This Is Why You Shouldn't Be Gloom And Doom After A Bad Week

And the only play calling that coulda screwed us was passing on 3rd and 3's and 2's. Its fine with a quick release, but otherwise its too risky. Still though why dont we run normally in quarters 2-4??

I'm sure the "Ravens fans" (AKA the Debbie Downers and closet Steelers fans of this board) will find some lame excuse to make about this game. A win is a win, and it couldn't have been delivered any better.

At least we can all breath easy knowing the Flacco hate will be non-existent this week. What was that about him never having any come-from-behind victories? In the past two weeks he's had two with four now overall. Flacco IS our franchise QB...and I've never thought otherwise.

If that last throw doesn't connect then this thread doesn't exist and we have an omega meltdown happening here. IMO the Flacco haters are too dramatic and the delusion that Bulger could play better is amusing, but these "Ohhh a last second TD that changed everything quick let's go lecture people on the boards" types of threads don't make any sense either. Let's just agree that Flacco was solid, and the game had a hell of a finish. Less whining, less lecturing. Please.

The offseason is looking to be paying off. Last year, Flacco wouldn't of won this game. I'm soo happy that just made my weekend so much better.

Gotta give props to Flacco this week. I was really down on him going into this game. I figured our D would pressure him into mistakes more and at least get a couple more sacks.

He did well under the pressure he did see though, and more than deserved to walk away with the win.

Here's to the next matchup! See you in week 13!

Broncos will really test the secondary next week. Fabes and Co. better be prepared. Orton is on a whole new level.

Joe got the confidence game back after coming from behind last week vs the Browns.Back to back 4th quarter comebacks for Joe.
Don't laugh cuz it's the browns they going to be a better force then we have seen

People talk about measuring results over statistics. I'll take a road divisional win with a last-second TD pass against a top-3 defense as a huge measure of success.

Of course, it helps that Flacco went 24-of-37 (64.8%) for 256 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Also, Flacco rebounded from each turnover to lead a scoring drive, with only 59 rushing yards from McGahee and Rice to support the passing attack. Furthermore, Flacco spread the ball to 6 different receivers and picked up 14 first downs through the air.

This was arguably the best game of Flacco's professional career thus far, given the level of competition and the importance of the victory.

Nice summation, Franny. Total concurrence.

Yup. Orton is playing MVP-level football right now. Webb aside, the secondary has to raise their level of play collectively.

I'll admit that I seriously doubted Flacco, and didn't have much faith in his ability to win the game with just a minute left, but he pulled off the final drive absolutely perfectly, and played an entire game very well against a good defense. Mad props to Joe.

All good signs that Joe's still progressing as a player. Like I said early, that was important win for the fans, to continue to get confidence in Joe with a comeback win.

Give mad props to the O-Line on that last drive too. Played strong and didn't get any false starts.

Well said Franny.

Joe's effort today really proved why the FO decided to build a team around him two years ago. A QB with a more fragile psyche may not have bounced back from the turnovers or the general ineffectiveness but he did and led the team on a strong game-winning drive.

I'm so happy right now.

well put friend, his game today was somewhat similar to week one, he wasnt overly flashy but he did what we needed him to do to win. and o yeah, excellent last drive. its all about how you finish

This is the kind of game that gives me confidence going forward. We took 3 of 4 games against 4 very physical teams. Flacco followed one bad, if not the worst, game of his career with 2 comeback win against conference opponents. This gets me excited about what this team can do when back to full strength and against lesser defenses.

Flacco was fantastic today, and so was the defense.

This is why you shouldn't clamor for Marc Bulger after 2 games

Have faith, and Joe shall reward you for it
YES!!! I did not get it! I was the only one in my house backing Flacco up game 2. I said yeah it was craptacular, but it's only the second game NOT the second to last game because then we could worry. I can't even begin to describe how bad I wanted the Ravens to beat those "stealers" (trash talk until tuesday!) My Ravens beads became my rosary! I am BEYOND proud of the Ravens and Flacco. Ride or die to the very end. That's where my loyalty is! :)
I absolutely hated cams play calling at the goal line in the 4th quarter. Two fade routes? C'mon son just pound the rock
with who? We had three injured running backs...and pounding the rock is too obvious.

Proud of our team. But don't yall think Cam need to step up on his play calling? Miss our running game..what yall think?
Rice wasn't 100% and both McGahee and McClain took stingers in the game. Hard to focus on the running game when you are down to your rookie backs.

I think this also proves to all the "trade McGahee" fans here how important he is to our red zone offense. He is the one we usually give to in order to pound the rock at the goal line.
