Housh (Still) Disappointed With Role

280 posts in this topic

What did he expect? Well I guess the same thing we the fans expected, a high flying offense. Hopefully our offense does blossom because if it doesn't, than this is exactly what we asked for.

3 guys with that many receptions competing for the spotlight role. Wins make everybody happy.

Maybe he should have caught those passes in Cincinnati, though..
This^^^^

If he catches those passes he has 2 more receptions, so stop complaining Housh. Work on your hands and don't start developing the Braylon Edwards Syndrome, learn how to get open and away from the defender and than you will get passes thrown your way more often.

If anyone is to blame, it's Cameron. We should go 3 and 4 wide a lot this week to limit the pressure and open up some lanes for Willis... or Rice. I think Housh will have a good game on Sunday.

Um... Housh is a rookie now? We know for a fact he can play, run crisp routes, get open, and catch the ball. I'm not saying I'm happy he missed a catch or two but it's going way overboard to compare him to Edwards. This is just another one of the many reasons the media frustrates me.

I'm kind of disappointed when T.J dropped several important passes during Cinni game. But, let's it slides. We have like 13 games more to go for him to prove Ravens signing him is one of the best decision. He and Flacco will be in sync eventually.

If you want the ball more, impress coaching staff with your reps and make the most of your targets. Do Not lay a goose egg when you're playing the Bengals! Do not drop balls!!

No sympathy for you, Housh.

Gimme a break. When you get payed MILLIONS to play a game for our entertainment you should be happy PERIOD. If you need more motivation than that then you are a waste of skin in my book.

basically he knew coming here he "wasnt going to be the man" and that the ball was going to go around so he needs to just shut up and catch the ball next time its thrown to um... and im saying that as a fan of his

Wow, some of you people look for any reason possible to bash a guy. Ridiculous.
Totally agree.
I was going to say the same thing, it's as if some people are whining more than Housh, who I don't take as whining.

I'm not going to sit here and throw my back out trying to explain what Housh is talking about, but I do know that Housh has some of his best games against the Steelers.

i kinda agree they need to spread the ball. We have 3 probowl receivers and only one is geting 75% of the balls. I don't know who to blame i know its not housh though. Cam needs to do a better job and also Flacco needs to take better control, you keep throwing to Boldin every time a good team or a corner will take advantage Ala Cincinnati.

Like cam said hopefully Flacco still has chemistry with Mase and Housh cause come Sunday Boldin will not get you 3 TDs.

+1 for truth.

This little article here is NOTHING compared to the diva crap that other WR's have pulled.

I'd much rather have a player that's itching to play and desperately wants to be on the field than a guy who's content to sit on the bench and do nothing for his paycheck.

And yes, he dropped some key passes in Cincy. And that sucks, because it's not like he owned up to it and took responsibility publicly or anything.

Oh wait.....
Cam needs to take Advantage of our WR's.
Cam needs to call plays that gives the best chance of winning football games not to make players happy. This big boy football not play camp. There is no need for digruntle WR on a super contender team, period.

Funky's right
there's no crying in football.

Cam needs to call plays that will win the game, not to make a specific player happy.
The ball goes to the player who is open.
If you noticed in the Browns game, Boldin was open all the time. That is why he got the ball.
Browns could not cover him and so he got the ball.
Housh needs to "play like a raven", which means "Team First" and quit acting like
he is jealous of Boldins success. Housh knew he was coming to baltimore as a 3rd receiver and until he proves he is better than Mason or Boldin, he will remain a 3rd receiver. Complaining won't make you a 1st or 2nd receiver.
Housh did the same thing in CinCin and Seattle.

When Clayton dropped the pass in New England, he was open and the ball hit him in the numbers.

When Mason dropped the pass in Pittsburgh, he got open and the ball rolled off his hands.

IIRC- Houshmenzadah had coverage on him and the ball was not exactly down field in front of him. He lost the fight and dropped the ball. Not going to fault him for a few other dropped balls. Nobody catches everything.

Give the offense time to gel (i.e. during gametime, not pre-season and practice) and all of this will go away!

Housh is letting everyone know he is unhappy here in baltimore.
Considering the cheap price the Ravens paid for him, he may get his wish to go somewhere else when Stallworth returns.

TJ Houshmandzadeh is getting his $7 million regardless. Even though the Ravens paid peanuts for him, the Seahawks still owe him the remainder.

Exactly, it would not be a big financial loss to the Ravens. Housh will really not be happy when SW comes back and Housh is moved to 4th receiver.
Housh may have more value as a trade.

Hahahaha, and I got flamed saying Housh has potential to be a headcase. He's started his complaining already.

What else did I get flamed for? Ohhhh that's right, wanting to keep Clayton over him. Someone go check his stats for me...

I cant believe what I am reading. All this crap about when Stallworth comes back, Housh will become a 4th reciever and instantly we have trade bait. Dont you think the FO has some idea of what they are doing. I do! This is rediculous. Housh isnt going anywhere this year. It doesnt make sense. We are in a fight to get to the playoffs. No one can predict who will stay healthy and who wont. We need every single offensive weapon we have to get to the prize. Im pretty sure the players realize that and we as fans are just speculating about all the controversy in our locker room.

Just because we let Pryce go does not mean there is a melt down with all the other players. Housh made a statement about wanting more touches, which is reasonable, and all of a sudden he his trade bait. Wow! I just dont get it.

Every single player on this team knows that we have an abundance of talent and not everyone will be a superstar every week. Im done ranting. I am just going to enjoy this weeks game and see what happens after that.

We all know T.J is a bonus to our offensive weapons, and as long he is not causing chaos in the locker room, we'll be okay. The man is just honest and means harmless. Give him a break, people!

Let's play football. To our fans, lets enjoy football. Bringing home with a W is #1 priority.

First Stallworth isnt better than Housh at anything except for a straight line sprint!!!

Housh has a right to be upset because hell Flacco is completing less than 60% of passes he only has 2 catches, and there is no way that Housh can't get open with a 3rd r 4th corner covering him... maybe its play calling but Housh runs good routes so why can't the mismatch be used with a lesser corner on him.

It's simple with all three bolden mason and housh on field at least one of them should have a mismatch on plays... we need to run more drag routes, comebacks, quick slants ( welker type plays)

We constantly throw down field we rarely get the intermediate routes going... I mean what makes Brees, Manning, Brady, (now even Rodgers) so good is they take what the defense gives them early (shorter hot routes and check downs) then expose them with deeper routes later as the game begins to open up.. We need to do more hot routes with quick comebacks to get guys the ball so they can make plays. More hurry up offense also Flacco seems to run the hurry up really well but we rarely use it!!

Honestly are we really suprised here?
You have 3 WR's that have been known to get vocal in the past about lack of touches. Totally saw this one coming. Ozzie and company pretty much set themselves up for this potential mess.
