Half of the things that you are giving harbaugh credit for is due to a guy name Ray Lewis. This team is his and he makes all coaches look good. But he is only human and can't carry all this dead weight for long. Zibby can start in this league as shown by our 1 ranked secondary......really and its because of Zibby or the lack of credible QB's that we have faced thus far. Zibby has not one big hit or turnover in three games at the safety position are you kidding me..See what i mean killing me..These fans really think that these guys are the answer. I wish i could ask Ray off camera does he think these guys can start on this D. But its okay i promise if this doesn't work out for Mattison and Harbs the bashing will begin.

So a good safety constitutes as someone who always has a big pick or hit every game? So I guess not allowing that many passing TDs, or being solid doesnt count anymore? You should be lucky Zibby hasnt sucked. You must be spoiled from having Reed. Not every player has to play like Reed or Lewis to be solid. Different players have their own playing styles and ways to get things done. You know how many Ed Reeds are in the league? Thats right, 1, maybe 2 (giving credit to Troy). But I guess if you dont like zibikowski, we can alwasy trade him or release him for a worse safety. And what makes you think Haruki will be any better?

If they really want to join a team that we already beat then they probably don't understand the point of playing this game.

you know, going into this season... I actually wanted to root for the jets.

Aside from a few players, they're becoming a bunch of trash talking loudmouths with no humility.

Now I can't stand them. I hope the colts knock them out of the Playoffs again.

The real question we have to ask ourselves is: Do we (or anybody else for that matter) care what Bart Scott thinks? It appears that the only thing these Jets know how to do is talk.

We can add this point Rayrice fan:

Good defensive teams play together as a unit. If everybody on the team plays for the ESPN spotlight the scheme doesn't work. We have playmakers like Reed (when healthy) and Lewis. But this secondary plays well together as a unit and this defense plays well together as a whole.

I get sick of hearing the whole "we haven't played anybody yet". These are NFL teams we play every Sunday and Cincinnati has had alot of success throwing at us- but not this year. The loudmouth Jets certainly performed better against NE in the air than they fared against us didn't they?

I will take a team defense that is disciplined, works as a unit rather than for individual accolades, and is well coached. We have that here. This defense will bend at times (as it did against Hillis last week) and so also did Rex Ryan's vaunted defenses when they were here. But despite bending this defense will help us win games and, unlike Rex Ryan's vaunted defenses, will not lose the game for you by racking up endless penalty yards.

This defense and this secondary are very solid. And, last I checked, were ranked #1 in the league.

I cannot believe that New York Jets are the team that coaches want to coach and players want to play for...
Just because they got a pretty darn good pass rush guy doesn't mean there going dominate the conference. I mean maybe the AFC east but the whole thing probably not..

I agree, but people will always find something little to complain about (when its not even a big deal in the first place) even when we are #1 in pass D. It goes back to the saying, Any Given Sunday. Sue we can say that the Jets, Bengals, and Browns are not great at passing. But those same three teams could have came out and started passing against us well. No one knows how a team will really play against you.

I feel there is some truth to him saying that. The defense just hasn't been the same hard hitting, blitzing, ball hawking Ravens D of old.

Injuries ARE every season. This year, our #1 CB is out for the year, and our All-World safety is on PUP (among numerous other, more minor, bumps and bruises).

I'd say we looked pretty great against the Jets and Bengals. No interceptions, yet, but they will come in time. One bad game (Browns) doesn't define a year.

This is just the change in coordinators. I dont know if you were watching during the Mike Nolan era but we didnt blitz all crazy then either, he blitzed but it wasnt on the out of control Rex level. We hardly blitzed at all in the Marvin Lewis era. This is just the coordinator cycle...eventually the 3-4 defense is not going to be the popular fad and the majority of teams will go back to a 4-3 again, then in another 10-15 years they 3-4 will be brought back again. Its all cyclical. Besides look at the Redskins...top 10 defense for the past 4 odd years in a 4-3, they switch to a 3-4 to become sexy and force turnovers and now theyre dead last in defense.

The Jets, their players, and their staffs have a fairly long way to go to achieve the degree of success the Ravens have had for most of their existence. Rex Ryan is a caricature. Harbaugh is a class act. Bart Scott? LMAO. He's bleeding bitter and it shows.

Yea well I can guarantee our coaching staff would rather have 15 other ILB in the league instead of Bart Scott.

Bart was good while he was here, but he was always replaceable. Bart was never and never will be the face of an organization. When you think about the Baltimore Ravens, You think #52 RAY LEWIS... not the guy who used to wear #57.. and even now that Bart has signed his big contract that the Ravens didnt even want to give him 2 years ago, you dont think Bart when you think Jets..

After their career is over, people will remember Ray Lewis as one of the most dominating ILB to ever play the game.... and Bart will be "the guy who used to play next to Ray"

That's exactly what it boils down to.

Bart Scott is just a product of the Ray Lewis system, the only difference is he's a bit more vocal. We can see that down in New York, he's been there for a year and I haven't seen many defining or great plays that we used to see him make here. He's just a fees-able starter.

Who cares about Bart, he's not even the best ILB on his own team.

What if what he said is true? what if Harbaugh lacks a certain empathy and players don't feel the same sort of camaraderie?

I didn't know that this was an NFL rule.
Apparently when Rex calls a player he has to answer...
