Big difference there, Seattle wanted him gone and Housh wanted out.

This is different in my opinion. We were going to resign pryce, seattle wasnt going to resign housh
So you all are in agreement with Asian Rice that Pryce is showing poor character by taking our money and the Jets?

I like Pryce and all, but its time we get younger there. We have some young guys that could possibly step up. Its not like Pryce has been playing lights out this year. Maybe the coaches saw something in the young guys. I just dont think they would make this move and not be ready in case that happened. Even i knew somone would sign him.

Pryce had 0 tackles in 3 games.....ok granted he has the ability but what excatly are we going to be missing?
Understood, but why not just wait until the end of the year instead of signing Hamlin. If we cut Pryce to bring back Ed Reed off the PUP, that would be understood.

I'd rather have depth than inexperience at DE.

We could've healthy scratched him a few games to see if the guys behind him can cut the job better than him.

No, I was saying that they're two different scenarios. Nothing more nothing less. I don't blame Trevor at all especially after reading that he's always wanted to play for Rex if he got a HC position.

Obviously we are a better team with him...BUT Redding has outperformed him and this gives Kruger an opportunity at some quality snaps during the game so he can live up to his potential. He impressed during the preseason, granted it was preseason, but he still showed he has improved.

Plus, the FO may have PLANNED to resign him but you'd be stupid to think they didn't consider this happening. We are obviously trying to get younger on defense. Pryce also didn't have much trade value as well.

I could see something like this happening to Kelly Gregg within the next few years.

LOL... just wait until they win the Super Bowl. I pray you don't have any sharp objects near you at that time.

They're going to implode, its in their DNA lol.

NY can take all the ex Ravens players and coaches they want, they will NEVER be like Baltimore.
This is true. They are more north, and unless continental shift occurs (fast) they will never be like Baltimore.

according to some of the ravens they are surprised here are some vasiour raven quotes from our twitter reporters
DC Greg Mattison said tackling was the issue with Hillis' running for 144 yds last week. Matti said tackling is a mindset.

Suggs on Pryce signing with Jets: "I'm shocked

Mattison said he wasn't sure if Pryce had in fact signed with Jets. Suggs said he's shocked. Kelly Gregg said he talked to Pryce last night.

and I totally understand what you are saying but our young guys aren't going to get the experience riding the bench

What is with the "one tackle in three games" stuff? he's a situational pass rusher not a starting linebacker, his job is to create pressure on the interior on passing downs. You can't convince me that whoever replaces him as a backup can do it better when he does it better than ALL of our linemen.

Not sure what they were thinking but letting him go was a bad move, he was still very productive and a good leader, now we have to put all of our money on a gut that's hurt and a 2yr rookie if kruger was that good he would have been in the line up a lot sooner so I'm weary about him. Defense line is not clicking enough so far with sacks i expect it to get worse before it gets better. i can only hope Kruger is a beast and really shows us all he's a true #1.

Why does anyone care? He had ONE tackle in 3 games. He's done, let the man get paid a bit while he still can.
On a playing stand point I understand what you are saying. What I did not like about this move was that the man had taken a pay cut at the beginning of the season in order to remain a Raven and then BAM! they cut him to bring in Hamlin. Surely there were other bodies that could have been moved to make roster room. The talk was that Pryce was made aware of the situation and was fine with it. His signing with another team tells me that was not the case. My issue with this is the way the FO treated Pryce. No, I don't think we will miss him from a playing stand point but the respect I had for the way we treat our players has taken a hit.

Understand what you are saying but we want to win this year , this year is not about bringing in young talent to rebuild team it's to win a SB, there's no time for a learning curve we have steelers next.

I have a feeling Pryce is more to blame here than the FO. I don't think we were lying when we said we'd like to resign him, and I think the only way we let him go for a week was with the understanding that he would resign, which I'm sure they discussed with him. Pryce took advantage of the situation and ran to the Jets for some extra money if you ask me.

Either way I don't care that he's gone. We drafted Kruger for a reason, no reason letting him sit deactivated every week. If he doesn't have what it takes, then whatever, Pryce wasn't the long term answer either so we just go from there.

Yeah well we aren't going to win a superbowl without pressuring the QB and stopping the run. Pryce did neither one in the first 3 games of the year.

Wonder how badly Rex is going to get Pryce to go over film of our defense in case we meet up in the playoffs.

He'll probably sit down with him to get info the moment Pryce walks in the door.

Seems like Harbs plan as bitten him in the rear
Was a dumb*** plan to begin with anyway. Do it when Redding is healthy, if your going to do it at all, and def dont do it when the only Dlineman we have healthy are all 320 + pounds with zero burst off the line, and a 270 pound kid who hasnt played a real game at a new position....sweet move...3-4 DEs dont grow on trees.

I understand what you are saying but my thought is if Kruger was better than Price maybe Kruger should have moved up on the chart to a #2 after redding you would think in practice if they saw this they would have moved him to the #2 spot before now. Now to me it's an after thought, a next man up regardless if he ready or not. Now they have no choice but to use him and i can only hope Kruger is ready to step in and produce.

Sure we may be mad now but if Kruger pans out and gets pressure this weekend on Batch and gets some sacks and forces Interceptions than we won't be mad anymore, especially if Pryce don't do much for the Jets.

It's time for Kruger to shine and get younger, it wouldn't surprise me if Cody after getting some plays in takes over Gregg's spot at NT by the end of the season, this is actually great for our defense who needs a shot of youth, and Kruger will start that this Sunday against Pittsburgh.

Would love to see Kruger intercept Batch and win us the game like he did last year.

Or he can pull a Mark Clayton and have beastly numbers while Kruger does nil, then we are posting in threads about if it was a bad idea to let Pryce go.
