Anyone going up to the Pittsburgh game this weekend? I will be making the trip! Hope to see fellow Ravens fan and lots of purple and black!

A friend and I will be making the drive up to Heinz Field from Morgantown, WV. We're looking to meet up with some Ravens fans to tailgate as well.

Also, if anyone has words of advice for attending a game at Heinz Field, I'd really appreciate it. I've heard of some horror stories from Ravens fans who have gone there. Thanks!

I'm sure they will! Will anyone be up there tailgating that wouldn't mind hosting a couple of fellow ravens fans? We will bring booze, food, whatever, just looking for a friendly environment in what appears to be a sea of hostility.

I got a last minute invitation and decided to attend, even though I detest the hostile Steelers fans & that stadium (worst modern stadium in the NFL).

I'll be taking the water taxi across the Monongahela over to the Gateway Clipper dock, up to the Will Call window near the west side escalator. If any of you are tailgating in that vicinity, shout it out. I'll be wearing a white Oher jersey.

I've yet to go to Heinz Field, actually. I went to the old Three Rivers a few time when I was a kid. So the whole experience of Heinz will be new to me, heh. Worst part of it will be the parking, it always is for me.

Last time I went to the new Heinz stadium, there was remote cash parking about 3/4's mile away, and escaping the stadium area was chaotic. I don't know if that's still available, or it's all reserved now. We decided to avoid the traffic mess this time by parking in the city and take the Gateway Clipper for $10 r/t.

If you get skunked parking near the stadium, read this article about downtown parking and either hike over the bridges or take a shuttle bus:

I have attended away games at most NFL stadiums. Pittsburgh fans are no worse than any other stadium in the Northeast (including our own).

Advice: wear your colors, sidestep drunks, act deaf and blind when they get in your face. If you are easily riled up by taunting home Steeler fans, either wear ear plugs, or dress in neutral colors or do not go to Pittsburgh. They are not going to be polite -- on the other hand, they are no more violent than our fans.

Went last year and actually the fans weren't bad at all to us! We park at station square and take boat across, easy in and out and bars and stuff around there before game time!

Not at all we went last year to Ravens Steelers in Pittsburgh and they weren't bad at all, one lady even told us that she had mad respect for us because even our nikes were purple and black!

I gotta give it to the Steeler fans, sadly enough. They were very cool and respectful towards me at Heinz Field. Actually had a pretty intelligent conversation with the Steelers fan next to me. Although he wasn't very happy when I said "Maybe it's that field goal post. After all, Cundiff missed his kick towards it too" after Reed missed his second field goal. =X I wasn't trying to antagonize him, just lighten up the mood.

Yeah, I wish I had DVR'd it so I could see it from that angle. The environment when Housh caught that TD was fantastic though lol You could feel the collective disappoint of every Steeler fan in the stadium ;)

Yeah, after being at the Jets game, I know how awesome it is to feel winning on the road. The Ravens/Fins games I've been too arent as intense. I've been to three of them and it never felt like I was in enemy territory.

You may still have a chance to watch it if they pick it for NFL replay.

Did you not flip out when Ray caught the game ending INT?

There were three or four Ravens that almost ran out onto the field and then he got back up and you could see them pulling back to the sideline. Ward tackled him and the scene on TV was awesome, the team swarmed Lewis. Im sure you saw that but the close up shot was great,

The game was the best to be at, it is one that I will remember for a life time. I can't explain the feeling walking out of the stadium I had! And the moment when Joe throw the TD AMAZING!!!! And then not to mention Rays interception in the end, oh my what more could you ask for? And yes I was flipping out!

That was a relatively larger group of Ravens fans at Heinz Field yesterday than I had seen at previous games. No fights; just a few pre-game cat-calls from some obvious drunks.

On the post game "steamboat" ride away from the stadium, it was as quiet as church.

Yeah, I didn't have any problems with any Steeler fans either. At most, it was just minor razzing. I found a parking lot a little bit from the field, and when I pulled up to the attendant and asked if I can park there, he goes "You can, but there's a problem.". So I asked him what it was, and he goes "That jersey you're wearing". I laughed and he just wished us a good game and that it should be a good game to watch.
