According to Rotoworld, Pryce could be re-signed next week but Redding has been a better option and McKinney was getting more snaps than Trevor too.

yeah Jamison Henisly(or something like that) stated that as well, even tho there are also reports of possible retirement

I hope he doesn't retire but if he does, I'd love to see him impart more wisdom to guys like McKinney, Kruger and others.

I don't understand this one at all. He's constantly putting pressure on the QB even when he's getting double teamed. He's not a good run stopper or anything, but on passing downs he's the first guy i want out there along with Suggs and Ngata. Redding, Gregg and all the other backups aren't even close to what he is when it comes to rushing the passer. I don't get it. Hope we bring him back as soon as possible.

Kelly Gregg is a better pass rusher then Haloti.....
Agreed. He was one of the few players I saw that rushed Wallace last Sunday.

I think we are at the point where the team has little wiggle room in the roster. There are lesser players but position depth is more important. I think Pryce will be back on the team when the PUP people are able to play if not before.

This also probably means Kruger and Cody are ready.

The whole makeup of our D-line is just strange, assuming Redding is out that means we have a 275lb end rotating with a 350lb nose tackle at DE.

Hopefully, strange translates to effective.

To further corroborate the previous reports that were linked, John Harbaugh told Ravens Insider Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post and other reporters that Pryce will be brought back, and that his release was temporary, a result of the numbers game. (LINK)

I still don't see how Hamlin has more value than Pryce this week, of all weeks, but I suppose we'll find out soon enough...

My best guess is that Pryce's injury would have kept him out of game... or something.

Might as well play a player who can play. I'm not really sure what Hamlin will contribute in this game though. Perhaps Nakamura will see more time at corner and Hamlin will fill in for him at safety. It's a long shot, but who knows?

It amuses me all of the people who want Pryce on their team on NFL.com. Jets, Patriots, Dolphins, Broncos... Steelers.

They wish! lol...

They might have him in another world....

pryce is way more valuable especially against pittsburgh than hamlin ever would be ... he always brings his a game against pittsburgh always is in the face of the QB who cares if hes old hes still effective at his position ... lamar divens is why we got ran over by peyton hillis

Umm...Divens was inactive. If you're talking McKinney, he played a good game coming off the bench.

This transaction shows me 2 things.
A.) Coaches are fully behind Kruger moving forward
B .) Coaches realize Zibby isn't that great this year.

All for this decision, I love it.

what a dumb move, he was the only consistent pass rusher we had, he was always in the backfield,
Have you been watching the games? He hasn't been consistently rushing the passer this year nor has he "always" been in the backfield. He doesn't have a tackle or sack!

Yeah, I was surprised he made the team actually. I thought we were going to cut him when we got Redding.

He just doesn't have the same motor as he used to.

I hate to see Pryce go but if it means more playing time for Kruger the remainder of the season than I'm all for it. I been waiting for Kruger to get some solid playing time and I think this move signals that the coaches feel that Kruger is ready to play and be apart of the rotation on the DL.

Get ready Charlie Batch.... Kruger is coming, MT Cody is coming... oh Charlie Batch won't be sleeping on Saturday Night thinking about what he is about to see on Sunday. So excited for Sunday!

Pryce's contract was up at the end of this year anyways wasn't it? Plus he is getting up there and with who-and-what-not having 2 weeks before they might start playing again is probably the why.

As for Hamlin. Wasn't he supposed to make around 3-6 million this season if the Ravens DIDN'T cut him? Did they get him back for a lower rate after picking him back up?

This doesn't mean Pryce is gone for good. They could resign him if they need him.
I assume they did it because there are rumors that Zibby is banged up, so they made room for Hamlin as a precaution.
Pryce is apparently injured from the Browns game.

Hopefully he isn't snatched up by another team.
He already has been by the sounds of it. Suggs just said on Twitter he's signed with the Jets!

He's the only one reporting it. I'm sure he and Pryce are close. So much for bringing him back. If we drop any guy, Rex would convince the Jets to pick them up.
