Can We Get A Turnover?

10 posts in this topic

seriously, this is pissing me off. one turnover in 3 games? and we didnt even really force that one turnover. shonne greene ran into his blocker. this has to change quick. i know we dont have reed but we have other guys who should be able to pick off seneca wallace and mark sanchez

Sanchez didn't throw the ball down-field at all and Wallace rarely did either. All of their throws were either to the flats or easy comebacks.

If we want to be angry, we should look back to the Cincy game where Landry and Zibby weren't able to reel in poor throws from Palmer.

i understand with sanchez, vs the bengals we shoulda had a few, and today we shoulda had at least one. we're also not forcing fumbles. and our pass rush looks like ****. i feel like when we get cody and get reed back we're gonna be such a better football team

There were simply no opportunities to snag INTs today. Again, Wallace rarely threw the ball over 15+ yards.

As for forced fumbles, how often do they really happen?

The pass rush wasn't there today but you have to credit the Browns' o-line.

well it's more or less the fact we have 1 in 3 games, not just today

I'm glad we won, but man I'd kill for some turnovers.

They will come, that I am sure of but, when they do, we have to make the most of the opportunities! Can't let picks slip through our fingers like at Cincy!

If we lose the turnover battle in Pittsburgh, it'll be a tough game to come away with the game. We've been able to survive with the lack of turnovers but against the Steelers, it's a whole new ball game.

It is more important that we protect the football. No Harrison fumble strips, etc.

I agree, turnovers are nice but protecting the ball on our side is just as important. Batch had 3 TDs and 2 INTs on Sunday but I don't know how many turnovers the Pitt D got. However, if we can have two picks against Batch next week I would hope we can turn them into points. Batch is the only QB in the first 4 games that really looks like he's throwing the ball downfield; it's those throws that give chances for picks. Palmer had as bad a day as Flacco, w/o the picks. He overthrew 4 TD opportunities he should have had 2 picks and he couldn't hit the "bopsy twins" regularly. We have many upcoming games where we will have chances for picks and we need to catch them but I'll also settle for good D to stop them. It maybe less glamorous but itis definitely safer.
